25.01.2022 An other fun personal branding photo session with the lovely Kris Barrett. A personal branding photoshoot starts way before the day of the shoot. First, I ask some questions from my client via an online questionare that disigned to discover their brand.... The next step is when we brainstorm togehter usually online, and sometimes that is the first time we see each other face to face. So by the time of shooting we not only know what our exact shooting list and schedule is, but also we already know each other a bit better. After our chat, I put together a shooting plan and send it to my client, so she can plan her outfits accordingly. Then the final stage is the day of the photoshoot, wich is fun, light, and sometimes there is my partner and videographer Barnabas Nagy there to create an amazing behind the scenes video like this one:) #behindthescenesvideo #personalbrandphotoshoot #brisbanephotographer #businessphotography

24.01.2022 As a introvert I think I need a bit more space and me time than let's say an extrovert person. However, I always thought that I am the most creative with my photography when I am in the trenches working under pressure with lot's of other people around me. But let me tell you my inner introvert has been thanking me my new passion, which is shooting products in my little home studio alone. No time pressure, no hair and make up, no sweating while running from one location to an... other. Just quite relaxing music and playing with lights, shadows, and props. Don't get me wrong, I still do enjoy going out and shooting at different places, meeting with clients, but hiding in my room, while I can create is a completely different vibe. And more than anything, much more suitable for the current lock down situation. Are you doing something different than you used to do? 23.01.2022 Did you know that correctly choosing outfits for your branding shoot will ensure a cohesive look and helps to align with the person's personality. I don't really suggest buying new clothes just for the sake of the photoshoot and not wearing it ever again. 19.01.2022 I’m so grateful I am not always feeling grateful naturally however. Even though I have lots of reasons to do so, I also find things that can upset me. So I got into journaling more than a year ago and have found it extremely useful when it comes to appreciating the things, people, opportunities I can be grateful for.... My journaling practice is very simple. I just write down 5-10 things every morning from the last 24 hours I can be grateful for. They are very specific, sometimes small, sometimes bigger things, like I’m grateful for... -catching up for a coffee with my friend -the successful photoshoot with a client - the long walk alone at the waterfront at sunset - the kettlebell training and getting together with the team - the chat with my mum on the phone - the new collaboration with a business partner So they don’t have to be huge, just finding and focusing on moments of happiness. 07.01.2022 When I started working with business owners as a personal brand photographer I felt that this is it! That is going to be my new passion. And I was right. Planning, strategizing with other entrepreneurs, helping them how to grow their businesses, creating the right message and image content in order for them to reach their ideal clients became my new direction. I slowly stopped shooting weddings, as they were too painful for me to do after separating from my now ex-husband any...way, and fully focused on connecting with other small business owners. 06.01.2022 Whenever his schedule allows him, I take my best videographer Barnabas Nagy to a photoshoot with me, so he can create an amazing behind the scenes video like this for us. I have met Brenda first at a wine and painting class a few years ago. She decided that she is going to take her business to the next level and so we had a branding consultation and a personal branding photography session together.... I knew it would be easy to work with, but she went above and beyond my expectations. She organised a local meeting room, where she usually does her team meetings, so we could do the team shots in that environment and also use the hotel's features for some portrait images. The second location was Brenda's home, where we showcased some of her authentic stories that resonate with her ideal clients. It was a pleasure working with Brenda, and I am so looking forward to seeing her business grow!

Tips: 1) It is all about the jaw - chin forward, lean forward slightly 2) Squinting slightly with the eyes 3) Smiling slightly, laughing or not at all.
