16.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE 147: MONDAY 23 NOVEMBER 2020 COVID-19 mask advice... For more information visit: www.sahealth.sa.gov.au/COVIDmasks Working from home advice While there has been an easing of some restrictions, it is still strongly recommended that people continue to work from home, where possible. Continued flexibility in the workplace will support our current COVID-19 response in South Australia. It will also help to ensure business continuity in the event of an outbreak. COVID-19 testing information Some people who have been directed to self-quarantine for 14 days are required to have a COVID-19 test on day 1 and 12. SA Health may advise some people to have additional testing if they are at a higher risk. COVID-19 has an incubation period of up to 14 days, so even if someone tests negative on their first test they may still develop COVID-19. If people are asked to have additional testing, this does not mean your previous tests were incorrect. Anyone in quarantine must remain there until directed by SA Health, even if they receive a negative test. If a person tests positive, they must remain in quarantine until they no longer have the virus. Find the nearest testing site at www.sahealth.sa.gov.au/COVIDtesting. 05.01.2022 Five Years On Anniversaries are an important part of life. They remind us of important events on the calendar, something that matters to us. Anniversaries give us a chance to look back over the years and reflect on how a significant event has shaped us. Remembering our past can be an important part of understanding who we are.... Some anniversaries can be difficult to acknowledge. The devastating impact of the Pinery fire on 25 November 2015 is etched into our region’s collective memories. Light Regional Council acknowledges that five years ago was a traumatic time for many of our residents and visitors to our region. Anxiety may resurface this is normal. Take time to be with the memory, acknowledge it happened, remember it - then reflect on how far you've come since then. By everyone working together, we can learn from our past to help create a safer future. We all have good days and bad days. Grief takes time to work through. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. If you or a family member or friend needs support to manage their grief, contact Beyond Blue on 1300 22 46 36 (available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week) or check out their resources at https://beyondblue.org.au
