20.01.2022 The Lights of Christmas is committed to protecting the health of our guests, staff and volunteers and minimising the spread of COVID-19. In line with the latest NSW Health advice, visitors from the Northern Beaches Local Government Area (The Spit to Palm Beach) will not be permitted to attend the Lights of Christmas on Friday 18 December, Saturday 19 December, and Sunday 20 December. If you feel at all unwell, we ask that you please remain at home.... We will continue to monitor the advice of NSW Health accordingly and update our guidance as appropriate. Thank you for helping us continue to keep our visitors and staff safe.

I was thinking about some of the Christmas shop windows and how they are kind of disappearing and thought, ‘What can we do?’ AGB Events CEO and Creative Director Anthony Bastic, and Artistic Director Giles Westley spoke to the Sydney Morning Herald on how Lights of Christmas has grown and evolved throughout its spectacular 10-year run.

11.01.2022 0 DAYS TO GO Our 10 year anniversary show will be revealed TONIGHT 2019 - Ascension ... This year's sound and light experience draws on the principles of religious architecture, by guiding the viewers’ gaze up the 75m high spires of the Cathedral to the heavens. The Cathedral will be transformed through spectacular visual effects, paying homage to the architecture with artistry never before seen in Sydney. This visual masterpiece will be matched by a commissioned soundtrack incorporating vocals from the St Mary’s Cathedral Choir and bold cinematic instrumentation. The second segment will depict the traditional Christmas story. Set within a gilded proscenium arch, a series of dioramas featuring early Renaissance artwork will re-tell the story upon which the customs and traditions of Christmas are based. The story culminates in a series of Madonna and Child artworks, featuring influential pieces from the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Tonight's Opening Night formalities will kick off at 7:40pm, featuring performances from internationally acclaimed artists, singer Friar Alessandro and pianist Vivian Choi, supported by Artes Christi Choir and Orchestra. 02.01.2022 Lights of Christmas Brisbane 2019 - Lights ON! AGB Events are proud to have created and produced Lights of Christmas for the Archdiocese of Brisbane for its second year. The Cathedral of St Stephen was illuminated yesterday evening with a bespoke show created to highlight its facade. The adjacent St Stephen’s Chapel was also transformed by the light and sound show. Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and Archbishop Mark Coleridge were in attendance at the Opening Night, accompan...ied by a fantastic crowd! See Lights of Christmas each evening until the 24th December, with carols commencing from 6:30pm and the light show running from 7:30pm - 10:30pm.
