25.01.2022 "I did a much better job of only taking clients where I thought I could turn into a favorite freelancer." As a freelance writer, you see requests to write on so many different topics and mediums. It's tempting to grab at them all. You need the work/money after all. But by consciously choosing things that really interest you, you're sure to put in more effort and enthusiasm which in turn, produces a better outcome for you and the client. ... Love this blog post from Jennifer Gregory about freelancing successfully during the pandemic.
25.01.2022 It was an honour to hear Brittney Higgins speak about her shameful experiences at the #March4Justice rally in Canberra today, at the very place where they took place. And to be among the thousands of women (and men) who came to say #EnoughIsEnough.
11.01.2022 To the women of Australia...
09.01.2022 I've been working on 2 big copywriting projects during these holidays and I'm excited that one of them is nearing launch day. It's a guide to taking photos and video for social media, written by Nicole Motteux and edited by yours truly, for the International Trade Centre. It combines Nicky's photography and coffee expertise and my social media and editing skills. And it's full of Nicky's fabulous photos (like this one below). Love working with this talented woman.
07.01.2022 What a week. Starting with the epic #March4Justice rally at Parliament House on Monday and finishing at 11pm tonight writing about a women's coffee collective in Rwanda that's all about empowering women in a man's world. It's a universal issue but change can happen. Just one small step can make an amazing difference. Stay strong x Image credit: http://www.questioncoffee.com/coffee-he/twongere-umusaruro/
