16.01.2022 Last day for first home buyers in Queensland to sign a contract to purchase a previously lived in home to receive the $7,000 first home buyers grant. The Queensland government has axed the grant. They have put a first home buyer grant of $15,000 for the purchase of a new home in place. The intention is good but the reality is that the cost of a new home in most cases is beyond the financial means of the first home buyer.

The eleven days of festival activities culminate in the street parade this Saturday. The festival celebrates the area’s fascinating heritage whilst showcasing the Cooloola region of today, through a diverse and colourful array of activities and entertainment.
