22.01.2022 Do you know those fancy Day In The Life Of An Agent vlogs. Cruising between appointments, seeing nice houses, closing a deal every hour. Today was not one of those days. In fact, it never is. I’m a super organised person. But like most parents know, you can’t plan in detail. It’s more about being flexible Monday 7th December goes like this........ - 4 year old son too sick for daycare. So I manage morning calls and preparing a new listing with 5 minute interruptions for wip...ing a runny nose - Turn up 30 min early for a video shoot of new listing (see, super organised) to find the lawn mowing the owner organised hasn’t been done. So, I race to the local Kennards Hire for a lawn mower, and frantically get the mowing done myself so it looks top notch for marketing - 2 hour on-site create a hungry little boy. It is now 3.15pm, So a stop at Maccas, while Daddy pulls out the iPad to knock out more work I wonder what Tuesday brings! Oh by the way cracking little 2 bed + study home coming up for sale at Lambton on a level 463sqm block. Message me if you would like some details

21.01.2022 Settlement Day for this home today. Owners moved out and waiting for the new owner to arrive. When I sell a home when the owners have lived here for 50 years (or more) I always wonder what the feeling is like for them closing the door for the last time. Walking through an empty house right now room by room I start to imagine the memories created within these walls. Have you had a similar experience? Perhaps the home you grew up in where your parents were there for most of their lives. How did you feel? Would love to hear about it in the comments

And no, I am not bagging another agent - because I took this photo I am currently preparing an appraisal for some clients I sold this home to in 2005. And this pops up on RP Data. At the time most agents in Newcastle took their own photos. And there would have been a lot of this crap (not just from me). My 1st sales manager Adam Rawlings would mock me when photos came back. For this one I had to have a crew drive up from Sydney. Amongst the GFC, this home had been on the market with another agent for 226 days. We sold it in 52 days with triple the amount of inspections. And personally its nice to look back on a full head of hair
