25.01.2022 Hi Everyone. With the current change of lockdown measures we will be continuing to do preordered flowers every Friday and now Saturdays for contactless pickup and delivery through out Melbourne. Until Victorias cases are consistently low (zero please) we will be keeping to two days a week. Thank you all for being so patient. Really hoping to be back into the full swing of things soon. Also I’m getting a lot of Wedding enquires so if you’re planning for 2020/2021 please get in touch as soon as possible. With love and kindness, JL x

Lilac and the Cat has invited our friends at @blood__lily to join us here at 76 Geelong Road so that we can keep The Inner west supplied with locally grown blooms with an Eco conscious, 6 days a week. That’s right, two florists one space. Extraordinary! In this post covid world we strive to keep kindness within our practice and call upon all like minded folk as our dearest customers. I’ve got Shingles and need to rest, so I’ve had to pause all orders and hope I can pick the business up once again and be out there doing what I’ve loved doing for the last 27 years. 09.01.2022 Take Two!! We have just had word that we can operate during stage 4 restrictions! This means that things will be a little different for us buying flowers from our suppliers.... We need to give our growers more notice for flower pickups. We won’t be able to hand select our flowers either so we put our trust in our wonderful wholesalers to selected the best blooms for us. This means we will need more notice from you, our wonderful customer, to place your weekly orders early. Your support will keep Lilac and the Cat going and from the bottom of my heart, I thank you. Over the next 6 weeks starting from Thursday the 13th of August we will be doing deliveries on Thursday’s, Friday’s, and Saturday’s to all Melbourne Metropolitan areas. We request that you place your order up until 2 days prior to the date of your delivery. We will be offering a selection of different price options and styles to brighten your homes or send to a loved one that needs cheering up. Please head over to our website to place your orders. 03.01.2022 We are so so close to reopening dearest Melbourne. Things will look different, with us too. We’ve been plotting and planning new ways that will help us achieve our environmental goals and keeping our foot print even lighter, which is really exciting. For now though, we will continue with our deliveries on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and as soon as the timing is right, you will be the first to know what our new shop will look like post lockdown. ... 02.01.2022 A Care pack for Grace Today we had a flower order for Grace and learnt that she is a Doctor working in the ICU. The flowers from her friend were not only sent because she is having a tough time working in the ICU, but she has recently lost her Grandma to Covid19. When I heard this I immediately wanted to tell Grace that I cared and knew that so many others like me, would appreciate the work she is doing during this pandemic. ... So Ive decided to send her more flowers and reach out to my fellow followers to help put together a care pack for her, to show how much we all care. If there are any businesses out there that would like and are able to donate a care product towards the pack, please send me a message. I’ve also opened up a donation paypal account (link in bio) to raise some dollars to go towards purchasing some self care products from local businesses to add to the Care pack. Things like candles, vouchers, natural beauty products, linen etc I hope this will Make things a little easier for her and her family to get through this difficult time.
