13.01.2022 This is happening in Australia If you buy a puppy.... make sure you are able to visit mum and her litter and check out the living conditions and health of all Not just at pick up time ( which should be minimum of 8 weeks of age ) You should be able to visit from 3 weeks ( this is when puppies immune system has kicked in ) as long as the litter is healthy. Ask questions/ do research/ check out the breeders registration with the ANKC The breeding of puppies in an immoral and unregulated way for only profit HAS to stop..... you are not saving that puppy.... you are condemning the mother of that pup to a hellish existence The way to stop puppy farming is simple.... stop buying the products of these money hungry, torturers of these innocent dogs ..... no market/ no farming

12.01.2022 Our young ones Stefan and Flossie went for their vaccinations today So a car ride in Jodie’s car ( backseat ) very different from the berner bus they have been in, and a wander in Gisborne before heading in..... I was a little worried about how they would cope as I’ve got a broken ankle and been unable to do any of the off property education I would have done with these 15 week old puppies, especially as Stefan is 100% blind Well I need not of worried one bit ... they were... bold forward and independent.... met heaps of people for pats including two little girls who did a lot of squealing both puppies loved it Went with the vet nurses at Gisborne Vet Clinic without a worry and judging by the time they were away .... they got cuddles a plenty from all the staff Brave, beautiful natures puppies Vets said they can’t believe the level of confidence with Stefan and how super brave he is .... think he has added more people to his fan club Again a huge thank you to Jodie for taking us could not manage without you Assai/Bruno See more

11.01.2022 This is brilliant.... a fantastic example of exactly what we do with our own dogs ( this is Carrie and Freddy) If you want a dog that is a pleasure to walk on the lead .... you have to put in the early hard yards... which make for a lifetime of happy enjoyable walks where anyone can lead your dog safely and pleasantly. You have wonderful opportunities to teach focus as you walk down the street ... a dog barking from someone’s property is a fabulous reason to get your puppies attention and focus and reward him/her Well done Carrie and Freddy super proud Gold Star for you this morning Assai/Bruno

04.01.2022 LAYLA’S STORY Most of you would be aware that Layla has had ovarian cancer... of a type never seen in dogs ( according to her oncologist) This was removed along with her having a full hysterectomy A few months ago Jodie noticed Layla was just not right and a vet visit revealed one of her kidneys was huge... Layla went to Kensington Vet Clinic for a CT Scan and exploratory surgery The vets removed one of Layla’s kidneys as the previous tumour had blocked both ducts and vessels on that kidney and it had become necrotic. They also removed a nearby lymph node, which was sent for testing Very happily the vets told Jodie that Layla was cancer free as nothing had shown up on the CT Scan and apart from ongoing special care for a dog with only one kidney, she would be fine .......... BUT as happens, the lab results on her lymph node showed that the cancer had metastasised and is now in her lymph system ..... so off to the oncologist who wanted to experiment with Layla as they have not seen this cancer before After long and hard thought and debate, lots of research and soul searching Jodie said no.... I totally agree and back up this decision 110% Layla has been placed on a complete natural protocol with raw food and lots of nutritious supplements Layla is happy, shiny and full of energy What time she has is anyone’s guess but she is living her very best life day by day We watched Layla be born and ( like all our dogs) she will be held close when she has to leave us.... it’s been an absolute privilege to be friends with Jodie who ( although totally heartbroken) is living and loving this dogs life to the absolute maximum We need to all know that these beautiful dogs are with us for a short time ( even if it’s 10 plus years) so I would take a leaf out of Jodie’s book and see joy every day just being with them This video below is from today I’m so very proud to have my puppies go to the most amazing people who care for their animals above everything Love watching Layla play Thank you Jodie you are an amazing human being See more
