25.01.2022 Today we were invited back to the winners concert for Kwinana Dance Festival. This superstar was awarded the encouragement award for her age group. This was selected by the adjudicator himself which makes it so so special. I have taught Cait since she was 4 and have watched her blossom into such a beautiful young dancer who is such a great sport backstage too Not to mention she won 1 of her solos with a score of 95! Awesome job Cait, we are so proud of you

24.01.2022 A little sneak peak at some photos I’ve spent the last 24 hours saving photos from parents posts in our group and receiving some incredible photos taken by one of our awesome mums I will continue to upload more as the week goes on as I love all the photos and being able to look back on them Hope everyone either got a massive rest last night or gets a big sleep tonight

21.01.2022 Halloween tomorrow, which means all Saturday students can come dressed in their favourite Halloween costume. Even the teachers are getting involved tomorrow If kids don’t want to come in Halloween theme, they can come dressed in their favourite dress up outfit

HM you clever chicken Awesome job Alexis in your Acro solo- so much more confidence this time and the best faces, I love watching your acro skills improving each time ... Fantastic work to Lyss, Liv and Sarsha in your lyrical solos. You all looked so elegant on stage and committed to your routines beautifully. Not to mention agin you showed sportsmanship again backstage, I love that you make friends wherever you go That’s the end of comps for us. Well done everyone Invoices will go out for term 4 in the next few days. 15.01.2022 A quiet start to Kwinana for us but so proud of these amazing ladies Maddi 9/U Tap solo- first time ever doing a tap solo, not to mention half was learnt over zoom (including lots of new steps) and you smashed it and had the biggest smile the whole way thru. 2nd Place woohoooo Cait 15/U Contemp Solo- so much power, energy and everything in between. This girl is so hard on herself when she dances and she couldn’t have danced any better. To top it off she received 1st place! So... many happy tears shed Well done girls

15.01.2022 Final classes of 2020 tonight The level 2 acro kids were so excited they got to combine with the big kids in contemporary Then we had the crazy level 3 acro class who have all really come out of their shell this year For anyone still wanting to order a DVD it’s not too late, I will keep orders open until Monday ... 2 sleeps to go

14.01.2022 Last day of ROD today Well done Alexis in your acro solo- first time with this routine and you were fab, the nerves definitely didn’t stop you from your impressive headstand and finishing with a special mention Beautiful job in your lyrical solo Lyss. Not only were you stunning on stage you were such a good sport backstage as well... Lyss and Liv lyrical duo- absolutely stunning, so sad to see this routine go but you danced it the best you’ve ever danced it today and receiving a special mention Powerful contemporary solo from Cait to end the comp, I loved your commitment to the whole routine and energy from start to end finishing with a special mention in a strong section Good nights sleep hopefully and we start all over again at Kwinana tomorrow morning

11.01.2022 Dancing goes back tomorrow!!!! Who’s excited??? I’ve been very busy this week preparing all the concert packs, making sure everyone has all their costume bits and pieces and spray painting some props It’s going to be hot this week so don’t forget drink bottles for class Costumes are going home with everyone so don’t forget to bring an extra bag to classes this week and hang up costumes once they are home ... 08.01.2022 Day 3 (technically day 5 of comps ) Well done Cait- 2nd place in her jazz solo. Your energy, faces and stage presence was just amazing! Your turns today were Lyss and Liv- HM in their tap solos. Beautiful smiles and clear tapping. Your tap technique is coming along nicely ... Ruby HM acro solo- you were the most relaxed I’ve ever seen you on stage today, beautiful work and so much more confidence Cait Lyrical Solo- 3rd place in a very very strong section. You emoted beautifully, I just love how much you’ve improved over the years Cait Tap Solo- 3rd place. By far the best you’ve danced this EVER! You nailed the dreaded time step and all those combinations my brain comes up with not to mention you just amazed me all comp, placing in all your solo, so damn proud of you girl!!! 1 day to go!!!

Thank you for all of your ongoing support during this crazy year Enjoy today with your families and friends, it’s going to be a beautiful sunny day so I’ll be spending my day by the pool I’ll be off the page for a few days as my other job is about to get a little crazy over the next week. Once it’s settled I’ll be posting the draft timetable for next year and an enrolment date...
