21.01.2022 LEANNE'S 2ND BIRTHDAY Dear Elena, We celebrated Leanne's 2nd birthday at Ruffey Lake Park last week and we missed your presence sorely. At the age of 2, Leanne now knows how to say everyone's first names, including PoPo, YeYe, NaiNai and Ah Kong. Her linguistics skills just amaze us everyday with new words being learned each day amongst other things, exceeding the bar you have set so highly.... The weather on the day was really nice with Leanne having fun at the playground, going down slides and enjoying her swing rides like you used to and it's a shame that we forgot to bring the scooter on that day. We had a beautiful "Baby Shark" cake made by Aunty Su Mei, loads of gifts such as Emma Wiggles bag from Aunty Jennifer and Wiggles keyboard from Aunty Angie. It's just funny to see how Leanne started filling her new bag with all sorts of stuff the next day, books and toys to name a few. Wish you were here to celebrate all the joyous occasions and loving you always, sweetheart. Regards, Daddy Chris

15.01.2022 ONE YEAR ON Dear Elena, It has been exactly a year since you have left us, though it seems as if it was only yesterday that the events transpired. It's even hard to believe that you are not with us physically any longer; this surreal feeling we are in a long dream, awaiting to be woken up from our slumber and we will see you right there, flashing us your trademark smile.... Yet, it is a reality that we will need to embrace, however tough it might be. Having Leanne with us to occupy our time and keep us company does help in alleviating the hollowness we felt in missing you in our everyday lives. The weekly family outings to your resting place do make it a family affair we share with you, body and soul. Although I doubt time would heal the sorrow and helplessness we feel in our hearts with you being gone, one thing we know for sure is that we would definitely remember the joy and blessings you brought into our lives till the end of time. Occasionally, I do wonder how you have been in the kingdom of heaven, my little saint. If only you could tell us how you went about your day like before, we really do miss having you by our side. We miss the laughter, we miss the chatter and we miss the tears too. Not a single day goes by without us having you in our thoughts and our hearts. Through this past year, we somehow managed to scrape through the daily nuances of life and work by enshrining your special spot closely in our hearts; having faith that one day we will be reunited again. Till then, go on and shine brightly, be a hero! Missing you, Daddy

12.01.2022 FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL You would have started your first day of school this week, first day in "big girl" school! And I am pretty sure you would have relished every single moment of being there, like how you enjoyed your time tremendously in kindergarten and childcare. Of playing in the sand pit, making artwork, doing sports and learning different things in school. You probably would have ran around the track in St Gregory's too like what you did during the open day that we went.... You would often share how your day went in school during our car trip back home, be it happy or sad. We would also occasionally sneak in a short detour to the playground. Those moments we had. If only, if only you are still here with us.... it has been real tough without you by our side....

05.01.2022 GIVE FOR DADS THIS FATHER'S DAY This Father's Day, I am pledging heart-felt donations to Alfred Health's Father's Day Appeal and I hope all of you would jump on board and do so too at https://www.charidy.com/alfred for a good cause. I saw this appeal advertised on the electronic signboards at Hoddle St/Victoria Parade interchange, so just thought I should play my part in helping out for a good cause. Skip the fancy dinner and celebrate the day with a home-cooked meal, spending some precious together-time with your family instead! Spare the funds and thoughts to G1ve 4 Life to help provide critical care and services for dads and their families when they need it the most.

02.01.2022 THE SPIRIT OF GIVING It's the time of the year again, where there is plenty of feasting and gifting but it's important not to over-indulge and also, let's not forget about the poor and needy in this festive season. It's vital to take some time off to spread the joy of giving to them as love only grows by sharing, you can only have more for yourself by giving it away to others. "For it is in giving that we receive"... #OCCanz
