19.01.2022 FRUIT KEBABS During the week our Junior Kindy class extended in their learning of healthy eating and fruit by making their very own fruit kebabs. We talked about the different names of the fruits we had today and why we eat fruit. We spoke about health and safety and how the skewers are sharp, just like my big knife, so we need to be really careful how we use them. All of the children then had a turn making their kebab, choosing which fruits to use and in what order. They used their fine motor skills to pierce the fruit and they were all very careful with the pointy end. They all talked about it as they ate, saying how yummy it was and asking for more...and more....and more!
