25.01.2022 Today we went to our second last playgroup play session for the year. Tomorrow we are off to Holloway’s beach

25.01.2022 Home day today with more science week activities to keep the children busy. I hope you all have a lovely weekend. On Monday we have music lessons at FDC home office.

24.01.2022 Home day today, we made some new play dough to play with this morning. The children also enjoyed playing outdoors and lots of free play activities. I hope you all have a lovely weekend. See you all next week, Monday we have a home day.

23.01.2022 The wet weather has returned yet again and luckily we had planned to go to the Inflatable Kingdom (tiny Tots) for a play. Ellie was so excited she couldnt wait to go and when we got there she was off jumping on the castles. Rachel enjoyed our outing as she is now familiar with the place and I had put her on the castle to encourage her to jump while holding my hands and just the castle. Connor need some encouragement to go up the big slides before he went on his own. When I... took him up there first time and raced down with him he was confident enough to do it on his own, there was no stopping him after that. Amanda and Connor was inseparable they played with each other on the slides and I was observing Amanda encouraging him to come on other castles which he did and loved. Tomorrow hopefully if the rain holds on we will visit Sugarworld playground.

23.01.2022 Today we visited the Pirate ship with our FDC friends, the children climbed the nearby tree and we went for a walk and found some little seeds and shells to add to our loose parts for home. Tomorrow we have a day at home with water play planned.

23.01.2022 Today we went to Family Day Care Forest School. The children used nets to try catch fish but they were to quick for us to catch. The children also tested their climbing skills to reach the top of the hill and then back down again. The children went for a walk and helped collect sticks for our fire so we could have some cooked muffins and a warm milo. Tomorrow we are going to the duck pond in the morning.

22.01.2022 Today we had a home day, tomorrow we are off to Holloways beach.

22.01.2022 Today we visited Julies FDC for more science week fun activities. Tomorrow we have a day at home and we will continue our science week learning.

21.01.2022 Today we visited FDC home office for our music lesson in the morning. Tomorrow we had a day at home.

21.01.2022 Today we visited Centenary Lakes and went on a Nature walk to tick off things on our Nature bingo list. As we walked around the lake the child had to find three different coloured leaves, something orange, a bendy stick just to name a few things it was a great morning exploring our natural environment. We then had a quick play at the Nature playground before heading home for the day. Tomorrow we are off to Tiny Tots.

20.01.2022 I had some mini paw patrol pups around home this morning. They all looked so cute all dressed up they then roll played the characters from the show.

19.01.2022 Today was our turn to host a play session at home, we had Julie’s FDC come for a visit and we also had Katrina from home office pop in and say Hi. She was very impressed with our indigenous wooden peg dolls we made today she thought we bought them. Tomorrow we have a busy morning, we will be going to FDC for a wet play session so please pack swimmers, towel and a change of clothes. After we will attend our usual playgroup play session.

18.01.2022 Today we had a super busy day, we went to FDC for a wet play sesession and then we went to playgroup. Tomorrow we are off to Julie’s FDC for a play session for NAIDOC week celebrations

18.01.2022 Happy Friday all, I took the children to Tiny Tots this morning to burn off some of their energy. Rachel was doing so well keeping up with the others she has a sense of belonging in her environments now and is comfortable to move away from me and explore more. Hendrix loved jumping on all the castles he particularly liked the slide one the most as he was having races with Ellie. They all had so much fun they didn’t want to go home. I hope you all have a lovely weekend, see you all next week for more fun.

16.01.2022 Today we visited Stratford Library for story time. Tomorrow we are off to the Duck Pond.

16.01.2022 Today we had a home day and because National Science week is approaching we did some fun science experiments. Tyler loved playing with the slime he spent a great amount of time at the table. Amanda and Mackenzie loved playing with the coloured dye using the droppers to mix the colours onto the paper towel. Tomorrow we will be going to FDC home office for a quick catch up then we will go to see our friends from Playgroup at the pirate ship.

15.01.2022 Today we visited Julie’s FDC for a play session for NAIDOC week with our friends. The children decorated a rainbow serpent snake using cut up material and glued it on to the cardboard snake. The children also helped make some damper that was then cooked in the small fire pit, once it cooled down Julie cut it up and buttered small pieces and added honey to it yum yum. Today is also Remembrance Day, They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them. Tomorrow we have a day at home as Ross is due to fly back to work and we need to do an airport drop off before lunch.

15.01.2022 Today we visited Holloways beach, it was Ellies and Rachels first visit with me Ellie loved it and Rachel was in her element but got tiered after a while and had a nap on the mat. Tomorrow we have a day at home day.

14.01.2022 Today we visited Lawsons Park with Julies FDC, the children played on the play equipment and tried very hard to fly the kites. Tomorrow we have a play session at Julies FDC

13.01.2022 Today we went to story time at Earlville library it was nice to be in aircon away from the heat. Tomorrow we have a home day as we have Katrina from home office to come and visit us.

13.01.2022 Happy Friday all, the weekend is near. Another sunny day in the Far North today it was a lovely morning at the pirate ship with my little crew today. Henny finally went down the curley slide today previous visit he wasnt to keen on it but today he was confident enough to follow in Ellies foot steps and make his way down the slide. There was no stopping him after that he went back and forth many times. Other interests was chasing the birds around and climbing the near by tree. I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

13.01.2022 Today we visited Julie’s FDC for a water play session with loose part play in water a lovely way to cool of from this heat we are experiencing. The children also revisited making their own orange juice again, Ellie and Amanda were very keen to help make it all the children worked as a team to make the juice by taking turns. Julie than offered them a frozen watermelon great alternative to and icy pole. Tomorrow we have the day at home with more water play planned.

12.01.2022 Today we visited home office for a book week play session. Tomorrow we have a day at home doing more things for science week.

12.01.2022 Home day today as we had to take Ross to the airport as he is heading back to work. Thanks Julie for lending us the orange juice squeezer machine the kids had a ball today making their own orange juice. Tomorrow to end our week we will be going to Tiny Tots.

11.01.2022 Happy Friday all, I had planned water play for the children today but they were happy just being. The children all helped make a cubby house, played with the new coloured pebbles and loose part play with rubber bands. I hope you all have a lovely weekend, on Monday we will be going to the pirate ship.

11.01.2022 Home day today with lots of science fun to keep the kids busy. The rain clouds in the jar where a favourite amongst the children. Tomorrow we are off to Julies FDC for more science week fun.

10.01.2022 It was our turn to host a play session @ home with Julies FDC children and we did a follow on from the library last week with The Three Little Pigs theme. Tomorrow we will be going to the Nature Playground. Please dress children in long clothing and boots please if you have any.

09.01.2022 Dental health week aims to educate children about the importance of practicing good oral and general health in all aspects of their lives. Today we looked at what makes a healthy tooth and sad tooth by looking at the different food groups. The children also practiced how to correctly brush their teeth. I got them to draw germs on the teeth picture and then by brushing it all off again using shaving cream to get all the germs off and making them nice and white again on the laminated tooth picture. Tomorrow we are off to FDC office for music lesson in the morning.

09.01.2022 Today we visited the Nature Playground as our plans for music lessons had changed due to the recent announcement on the weekend with restrictions on gatherings of up to 30 people in one place. Tomorrow we have Forest School in the morning please ensure all the long clothing is worn please.

09.01.2022 What a change in weather we had today, its a nice beautiful sunny and windy day. We visited the duck pond today for a play with our friends at the park followed by feeding the ducks. Tomorrow we will visit the pirate ship, I hope it will be a nice day like today.

07.01.2022 A busy morning was had by all today with a visit to the Botanical Gardens to see the butterflies with our FDC friends followed by our last playgroup play session for the year. The children said good bye to some of there friends who will be going off to big school next year. We had a small party and enjoyed some food and then the children all received a gift from Rosemary to wish them a merry Christmas. Tomorrow we are off to the duck pond.

07.01.2022 Today was our last music lesson for the year with our scheme, it was held at Goomboora park under the nice big shady tree. The children played in the playground and went for a mini nature walk before sitting down to start our music lesson. Tomorrow we have a home day with water play planned, please bring bathers and a towel.

07.01.2022 We spent the day at home today with lots of activities to keep the children busy. Tomorrow we are going to Sugarworld playground to end our week.

07.01.2022 Today is National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Childrens Day. National Voice for our Children, is proud to celebrate National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Childrens Day (Childrens Day) on 4 August. Our Childrens Day 2020 theme: We are the Elders of tomorrow, hear our voice honours our Elders custodians of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander traditional knowledge, passed down to our children through stories and cultural practice. Hearing childrens ...voices today plays a crucial role in them becoming influential Elders and leaders of the future. We visited Julies FDC for a play session where we made damper and enjoyed some indigenous craft. We also helped celebrate Hendrix birthday with some yummy cupcakes. We also said good bye to our other yiyi this afternoon, she was sad to go and will miss the children dearly. Tomorrow we have a day at home, we will be focusing on dental week health learning.

06.01.2022 Today we visited Julies FDC for a play session with our friends the kids enjoy our visit to Julies as there is so much to do to keep them all busy. Tomorrow we have a day at home finishing off our Fathers Day gifts we have been making.

06.01.2022 Happy Friday all today we had a home day and had a visit from Genny (boss lady) from home office to see how we are all going. Ellie was very chatty with her and showing her ballay moves. Happy Birthday to Mr Hendrix who turns 2 tomorrow we will make up for it on Monday with some yummy cupcakes and a special present from us. I hope you all have a lovely weekend see you next week. ... On Monday will have a scooters and wheels day at Goomboora Park.

05.01.2022 Today we went to Goomboora Park for a wheels day play session with our friends, the new trikes got a good work out. Tomorrow we are off to Julies Family Day Care for a play session.

05.01.2022 Reminder tomorrow we have Mini Forest School in the morning please make sure children are dressed in all the long clothing please and gumboots if you have them.

04.01.2022 Today was our turn to host a play session @ home with Julies FDC children. The children had plenty on offer to keep them busy from painting, Fathers Day gift making, water play and just having fun playing with each other. Tomorrow we have a day at home and will continue with our Fathers Day gift making.

04.01.2022 Today we had to cancel our plans to visit the duck pond due to wet weather. So we stayed at home and did some baking thanks Julie for the recipe the children had fun making them and most of all eating them. We also made large fish that the children helped shred the paper in the machine needed for the stuffing for the fish. We will paint them tomorrow when all the other ones are made up.

04.01.2022 We went to our own mini Forest School with our Family Day Care friends this morning. Today was also Mackenzies first experience at Forest school with us all and happy to say that she enjoyed her time there exploring her new environment. Amanda and Tyler have been out exploring the forest and took themselves for a walk, they have done this each time we have visited lately. Tomorrow we are off to FDC play session for book week. If children wish to dress up they can if they like.

03.01.2022 Today we went to Holloway’s beach it was a perfect day to fly kites as it was a perfect day as it’s very windy today. Tomorrow we are off to Goomboora park for our final yarning circle and music lesson for the year.

02.01.2022 Today we went to home office for a quick play session and had a special visit from the tooth fairy who talked to the children about healthy food habits for a happy tooth. We then went and visited our friends from playgroup at the pirate ship for a play session and catch up as we have not seen since March when we went into lockdown. It was lovely to see everyone again and all the children have grown since we last seen each other. Tomorrow we are off to Holloways beach

02.01.2022 Today we visited the duck pond and for a play on the playground equipment. We went for a walk on the bridge and feed the ducks some cabbage. Tomorrow we have Julies FDC come over for a play session.

02.01.2022 Today we went Holloways beach. But this visit was a little different from our usual visit. We couldnt go down to the beach where we would usually play as work was being carried out to put large boulders down to help with the erosion happening. The children loved watching the big digger putting the rocks into place while standing back from a distance. Rachel wasnt a fan of the loud noise and movement, but did enjoy playing in the sand when there was no loud sounds. The children also loved climbing on the tree and testing there grips while hanging from the branch. Tomorrow we have a day at home. See you all in the morning.

01.01.2022 Home day today, the children enjoyed playing with the new loose part bamboo pieces this morning so many different opportunities for playing with them. Tomorrow we have our final playgroup play session for the year.
