25.01.2022 I know I usually keep things pretty positive on here but there's something that's been bubbling away at me and really eating my soul. Not because this affects me personally, but I hear people making these comments all the time, or asking for recommendations across social media. I see it spread across all industries and it makes me so sad because these businesses are my colleagues, my friends, I see how hard they work and disrespectful comments like this just really grind my ...gears. Everybody loves to say they love supporting local or they may even be a small business themselves but then I hear comments like this roll out their mouths... "I need xyz that doesn't cost an arm or a leg." "looking for a reasonably priced xzy." "I want xyz that doesn't cost the earth." "I’m looking for bla bla who doesn't charge ridiculous prices." You know the posts I'm talking about. Guys, this is so disrespectful! When you ask for recommendations like this, I don't want to recommend anyone to you because these are people I care about, who are incredibly talented and hardworking individuals. You've haven't valued what they do at all, and I actually have no idea what your price point is? I know we've all probably done this, or its slipped out our mouths but honestly its hurtful and just darn rude. I hate being tagged in these posts because I'm potentially being put in front of people who don't value me and my industry. Or at the very least, it's the way it feels. We all have different values, costs of living and budgets we're comfortable with or able to throw at things. This is not an excuse to crap all over an industry or small business. This is 100% not a post about putting people down who don't want to drop large amounts of cash. It's a post to educate and open up conversations. If you know anyone who works for themself or runs their own business, you would know how bloody hard they work. And none of us are charging ridiculous prices. We're charging what we need to, to sustain our business so we can continue to bring the awesome quality and service you love. I won't go into the break down of charging or costs of business because frankly it's boring and it has no relevance to this post. Also, it's not helpful to you if you're asking for say "reasonable pricing." What is reasonable to you is going to be different to somebody else. Try instead, "I'm working with a budget" or "not wanting to spend over $$$" That way you're actually going to get recommendations that are relevant to you and you don't sound like a jerk. I'm posting this because I bloody care and the way we speak about and to people does matter. I honestly love giving recommendations in my personal & professional life, so please let me help Let's keep the conversation happening. Drop your thoughts below.

17.01.2022 Tonight I pack my bags for my last planned trip of 2020. It's going to be pretty jam-packed with beautiful sessions but I've just had 2 dates become available (the 1st & 3rd of December. 10.01.2022 Karissa & Daniel's ceremony overlooking the ocean at Razorback lookout, Evans Head. They stripped things back and made it really simple but elegant, putting emphasis on the beautiful location, and only a handful of guests present. The gorgeous styling details from Boho Bay Designs & Styling Co. had all of Karissa's favourite boho elements and complimented the headland perfectly. After the ceremony, we walked together through the bush tracks passing wallabi...es and an echidna while taking in the spectacular views and sunset. I can't imagine a better way to end the day with your lover. 09.01.2022 Sarah & Tim had the ongoing tagline in their relationship of I love you more. Sarah ended up having the final say when she sneakily had it engraved on Tim’s wedding band. I love that it ended up on this beautiful cover as well ... If your relationship had a tagline what would it be Mine might be something like You’re an idiot, I love you should I pop that on the cover of my own album

06.01.2022 Dear Mothers, You have no idea how beautiful you are. I see you in your moments. I see you while you ache to be more, more to your partner, more to your children. I see how you never truly feel like you're enough, no matter the lengths you push yourself past the point of exhaustion.... I watch you give away things, your time, your space, your last piece of sanity for the night, just handed over like it was nothing to give. It pains me when I realise you don't see what I see. There is so much beauty in everything little thing you do, the way your fingers trace your child's body, holding them in your arms. The way your eyes dance over each lock of hair as they twirl and spin. And you, you freaking beautiful thing, if only you could see yourself and your body the way I do, I am in awe of you, your quiet beauty, that needs not to learn anything from what the media is screaming at you. I know you don't see all this, but I do. My greatest hope in what I do, is finally you see even an inch of the beauty I see in you. I hope you see how fiercely you are loved, cherished & adored.
