11.01.2022 After 23 years at Lillypilly's, I took up the offer from my good friend Barbara, to go for an early morning hike up one of the Glasshouse Mountains . Although I've hiked the great walks trails between Montville and Mapleton, I've never hiked any of these mountains ... only ever taking in their spectacular beauty from a far! I say hike, because I naively thought I could actually hike up a path that might have some steep bits to it ... but soon found out, it wasn't actually h...iking that we would be doing, but rather ... ROCK CLIMBING Ooops! Lucky for me, Barbara climbs these mountains on a regular basis, and was very helpful (and patient) when showing me how to climb and in making me feel like I could make it all the way up and down the mountain without falling off it which I was eternally grateful for! If you come to stay in this most beautiful part of the world, here are some pictures of me making it up Mt Tibrogargan ... they just might inspire you to do the same. And I thought the view was only spectacular from the top looking down ... how wrong was I

04.01.2022 A friend forwarded me this reflection on these ever changing times. Whilst we can easily stress, it's more difficult to de-stress... with all the restrictions now upon us. Whilst so many grapple with day to day life, the immediate future remains sketchy. When feeling overwhelmed, remember to breathe ... deep breathing calms both mind and body, and allows us to re-center ourselves. Wishing everyone good health.
