13.01.2022 Returns to industry participants comprise a number of elements. Jockey riding fees are paid by owners. Nomination fees are paid by owners. Stallion service fees are paid by Breeders. Returns to owners come in prizemoney which is heavily skewed to winner take all. From prizemoney trainer and jockey percentages are paid. In NSW those percentages extend to stable staff. Breeder incentive schemes pay back to third placing. The convention of paying prizemoney was back to f...ourth placing. Extension to back to tenth placing still leaves many participants unpaid. Contributions from prizemoney are withdrawn for horse welfare. Participants extends to race clubs largely run by unpaid community volunteers. Clubs receive a basic allocation towards the cost of conducting meetings. More issues are getting addressed but are participants actually generating better livelihoods? No dividend for shareholders, and a capital/ equity raising speaks of reining in the resources to sustain the corporate. https://www.smh.com.au//tabcorp-in-600m-equity-raising-aft GRAPHS show confused demand for masks, increasing consumption of alcohol and further declining interest rates. Is gaming turnover up or down? Tabcorp is but one of many competing operators. Tabcorp earnings ie profit from gaming is down 19.5%. Performance is clouded and confused by incentive systems offering free bets. Are punters more successful and the cause of reducing Tabcorp profit? Or are funds tight and gaming retracting across communities? There are many factors at play. Tabcorp is a public entity whereas most of its competition do not make the results of their operations public. Prizemoney in Queensland is to return to pre-COVID levels from 1/8/20. https://www.racenet.com.au//prizemoney-boost-as-queensland. Without further increases in prizemoney, returns to participants for 2020/21 could decline over 2019/20 levels. There's trimming and reallocation happening. Racing Queensland reports that returns to industry participants are improved. https://www.racingqueensland.com.au//fy20-provides-record- Industry Performance criteria will now be published quarterly. See the Key Performance Indicators KPI's here: https://www.racingqueensland.com.au//RQ-Key-Performance-In. The dashboard monitors RQ performance against its benchmarks. 2019/2020 records increased levels of gaming on Queensland Racing up 11.4% to $4.8 billion.. BUT is there an analysis of where the gaming activity is located? We have no clear perception and disclosure of where the following is based and of whether revenues from all use of gaming product is being returned to industry participants.
