12.01.2022 Our Nourish Box was inspired by our personal journeys of learning about our bodies, the importance of food for mums and the empowerment that comes from understanding how food can fuel us through this intense experience of motherhood. But our knowledge comes from our own research to help ourselves and our experiences of learning some powerful lessons through tough times (still learning them....). To offer the very best insights and to groundtruth our inspiration, we wanted t...o partner with a trained nutrionist dedicated to women who had an interest in the postpartum period. One hell of a request right? Well we found the perfect partner to collaborate with in Alison from Feel Good Motherhood. Her enthusiasm for our idea was wonderful and working with her in designing the Nourish Box has been a pleasure. Her calm, non-judgemental and practical approach to nutrition and nourishment is a such a great way to learn more about our food, bodies and how to nurture ourselves. In addition to co-designing the Nourish Box, Alison also developed two bespoke premixes to help loved ones create delicious and nutritious food for our Lily and Cress mothers. An added bonus of our collaboration was the exclusive easy to understand guide on key postpartum nutrients, their functions and food sources. The ultimate gift of knowledge. Thank you Alison for all the emails, messages, redesigns and cooking tests. We loved your patience! Can't wait to show you all what we have created.

11.01.2022 Oh Trail Mix - is there any situation you're not appropriate for? I love you on my porridge, I love you for a snack, I love you on my yoghurt with a little drizzle of honey for dessert. You encourage my preschooler to eat her cereal by providing magical 'Mummy's special sprinkles'. You provide a quick but long lasting energy boost, and you're tasty to boot. We are so pleased to include the delicious 'Lily and Cress Fruit Trail Mix' in our Nourish Box. Blended by @themuesliba...r and designed by @alison.feelgood.motherhood, this blend contains a delicious array of dried fruits, nuts, and seeds. It's another collaboration that we're so grateful for, and we know you're going to love it too! Eat it one handed while breastfeeding or giving a bottle, throw it in your work/gym/nappy bag to keep you going until the next meal, or snack on it after the kids are in bed while writing instagram posts with a glass of shiraz... you know, hypothetically... xx

05.01.2022 We approached Vanessa and Hannah, the inspiring women behind @cafesteppingstone about our boxes to see if there was a way we could include their beautiful business. Their cafe is a work integration social enterprise that creates inclusive employment opportunities and provides practical training for migrant and refugee women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. These remarkable women were so encouraging of our vision and keen to support our Nourish Boxes.... They certainly delivered by developing a new housemade granola. It is a powerhouse mixture with oats, almonds, walnuts, raisins, tahini, agave, chia seeds and linseeds. Granola is such a versatile part of a postpartum pantry. It can be eaten on the go, made in big batches ahead of time, combined with milk or yoghurt or thrown into a cookie or muffin recipe for an additional boost. Seriously delicious and tasty. No need to wait for our boxes, it's on the menu right now! Stepping Stone has free parking, great coffee, a change table, chooks for kids to say hi you and a beautiful gallery plus shop of local products. All while supporting inclusive employment opportunities. That's one great cup of coffee!

03.01.2022 Tea is simply an essential part of life. We wanted a blend that could be included across our whole range to support mothers in any situation. And we found it! This naturopathically formulated herbal tea is designed to help create a calming and nurturing environment for the mother. It includes chamomile, raspberry leaf, nettle leaf, lemon balm, rosehip, lavender and calendula. Blended by hand @mountaincreekwholefoods and created exclusively for Lily and Cress. ... We love Mountain Creek Wholefoods not only for their excellent tea blending but also the amazing range of house-made nut butters, the organic cafe and the old school frozen yoghurt machine.
