16.01.2022 All these stones were collected as we travelled around Oz. Nature creates so many beautiful colours! Dont you think? So i thought vintage, silverplate spoon bowls would be perfect to show them at their best - as pendants. A black leather adjustable cord makes them an easy wear accessory. $15 ea plus $3 postage to anywhere in Australia. ... #vintage #naturalstones #nuggets #localcraft #handmade #spoonjewellery #gemstones #Queensland #seqld #lilyblancdesigns

08.01.2022 I was having coffee with a friend the other day, and we were chatting about our craft addictions. (What, who me?!!) And she pointed out that most people never realise how much work & time in involved in upcycling/crafting. So here it is. I do most processes by hand. Yes, by hand! I hand saw (cut) the pieces and i hand curl tines etc, but i DO use an electric bench vice, grinder & drill press. (Its much easier on my hands to use these man-size tools) I hand file & sand the... cut edges AND hand polish each piece. I never use heat on these pieces as this can destroy the plating. So, many of my pieces still have a slight 'antiqued' look to them. After all they are vintage silverplate, some over 80 yrs old! So just a bit of trivia for you. See more

01.01.2022 Well.....we are madly packing 30+ years of family memories, nicnacs, furniture, linen........and the list goes on. The boxes are piling up in the lounge room. Unwanted bits are selling on marketplace, or going to Vinnies. Hubby's clean out & packing up his shed (). And guess what im leaving til last? Yup....all my craft, silverware, etc. A girl cant be a day without her craft, let alone a whole month!!!! (And no, im not posting pics. Its all too chaotic!!!!!) We are downsizing to a smaller home WITHOUT a craft room. Scary, isn't it! Did i mention that im exhausted?
