22.01.2022 Looking for ideas of where and how to exercise with social distancing in mind. These are our standard Cross Country courses and keep you off the main pathways at Lillydale Lake. 500m, 1000m and 2000m loops make it distances for everyone. A single loop, or combinations of them all. You can still get out and enjoy fresh air - just follow the rules currently in place. Stay safe.
22.01.2022 Refund requests have been received. The registration facility has now had a credit balance transferred. Standard refunds from the system have been processed, please allow a couple of days to clear into accounts. Refunds with change of details will be processed soon also.... After this initial batch, future refunds will be processed once a week by club volunteers. We thank you for your patience and understanding. If an expected refund hasn't arrived based on the information and timeframes above, please email [email protected]
21.01.2022 This has been sent to all registered entrants: "To our amazing entrants, Firstly, thank you for wanting to be part of the Fun Run in 2020. It is a major fundraiser for our local non-profit community based organisations. We have loved bringing people together for a wonderful morning of healthy activity....Continue reading
19.01.2022 To all our entrants for the Lillydale Lake Fun Run with SJI Austism & Carers Support, and Yarra Ranges Athletics, Event day is getting closer, and we are extrem...ely thankful for your entry, and support of our event. We're looking forward to hosting the morning and providing a fantastic event day experience that the whole family can enjoy. This is an update on one of the features of the Fun Run. Unfortunately, we have a disappointing announcement to make. Due to the impacts of the Coronavirus, our reliable supplier of the event medals has not been able to produce and deliver our medals in time for the Fun Run on March 22nd. We have used this supplier for a number of years, this is the first time they have been unable to deliver on time. We explored a number of alternative products and suppliers, each time facing a similar uncertainty regarding the reliability of supply. While we are disappointed, we are also thinking of the communities that have been significantly impacted by this. For many, their health and livelihoods have been put at risk With this in mind, and to ensure we provide not only a magnificent event day experience, but also the highlight of a wonderful and unique finishers medal, an alternative plan has been determined. Firstly it is our intention to provide the 2020 version of the spinning medal courtesy of our event sponsor Max Brown, it just won’t be available on the day. What will happen on the day of the Fun Run? All 2km finishers will receive a Certificate of Achievement to take with them immediately. All race finishers will receive a Free Sausage and cold drink from our canteen. All race finishers can register on the Medals We owe You List so we know to contact you directly when we do receive the medals. All race finishers will receive notifications of their official finish time before 9pm on the day of the race. (If we are able to provide live results this will be communicated on event day) If, for whatever reason, it is important to have a medal on the day of the Fun Run and a different version would be acceptable, we will have a limited supply of either the original SJI medal, a Yarra Ranges Athletics Cross Country medal, or (in very small quantities) the spinning medal from last year. Please come and see us after finishing your race, we will try to assist as best we can. How will you get your Event medal when they arrive in Melbourne? Due to the size and weight, we won’t be able to post them all out. We will endeavour to have a number of collection locations with a range of available times to try and minimise the inconvenience. We thank you in advance for your understanding & look forward to seeing you on Fun Run day Sunday March 22nd. There will be specific event day information e-mailed to all entrants and posted on our Facebook event pages prior to the day. Please feel free to contact us via Messenger if you have any queries. Kind regards, Yarra Ranges Athletics and SJI Autism & Carer Support Event Coordinators. Michael Clarke [email protected] Kate Johnson SJI Founder and Director
15.01.2022 Only 10 days to go. Race day info sheet attached!
10.01.2022 Event Status Update: Unfortunately but understandably, we have no choice but to cancel next weeks event and postpone until later in the year. We will provide options for all existing entrants, providing details via email in the coming days.... Our organising team and volunteers are disappointed in the situation and will no doubt work incredibly hard to make a fantastic event in September or October 2020. Please review the official and expert advice to care for your families and loved ones. We hope to see you at another event soon, after this community health concern has passed.
