23.01.2022 Crystal Lazarus completed her year 11 and 12 at Box Hill Institute in 2017 and 2018. She completed a Certificate III in Beauty Services (SHB30115), and then undertook the Certificate III in Community Services. "I loved my time at BHI; it was the first time I have ever had teachers care about not only my wellbeing but also how much I learned, not just the work I submitted. I am currently studying the Certificate IV in Youth Work (CHC40413). In my time between returning to BHI I have used many skills I obtained. I offer my Makeup and Beauty services on the weekends, helping people get ready for events or just wanting to get a little done up and I’ve also worked in aged care facilities thanks to my Community Services Certificate." Well done Crystal! We are so proud of everything you have achieved!

22.01.2022 Nicole Barrow won the Box Hill Institute Trainee of the Year award earlier this year and she has now won the Victorian Trainee of the Year award, which will see her compete in the Australian Training Awards held later this month. Nicole studied a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing ACM40418 with us and we couldn't be more proud of her achievements. Good luck, Nicole!

08.01.2022 In 2018, Xylouris White were artists in residence at Box Hill Institute. Last night, they were up for Best World Music Album at the ARIA Awards for their album, The Sisypheans. The album was recorded in Studio B of our Sing Sing East studios October 2018. It was produced by Guy Picciuto, the lead singer / guitarist from the punk band Fugazi. Jim White from Xylouris White recently wrote, "I wanted to thank you all again for making this record together. It was a great experience for us and we really like what we all achieved with the album and really we can’t thank you all enough. We often talk about what a good experience it was. Many people have enjoyed the album around the world." Unfortunately, Xylouris White missed out on the ARIA last night, which went to Joseph Tawadros for Live at the Sydney Opera House.
