24.01.2022 "The best education does not happen at a desk, but rather engaged in everyday living - hands on, exploring, in active relationship with life." - Vince Gowman We at LELC acknowledge the environment as the third teacher and animals as the fourth teacher. We are, therefore, estatic to welcome three more baby chickens to our LELC family. It was amazing to see the delight on all our children's faces when they visited our little new friends. When children interact with animals, t...hey build the all-important senses of connection, empathy and caring as well as learn about relationships, the environment and nature. There is always a deep sense of responsibility when our children are around our animals; always curious to find out more about them. Our children and Junior Parliament will be involved in naming our newest members of the Lilyfield ELC family. If you have suggestions for names, please comment below.

24.01.2022 "Kindness is a gift everyone can afford to give." - Unknown At Lilyfield ELC, instilling kindness in our children is paramount and what better way to #sharethekindness this festive season than with the help of Santa's little helpers. Our children, staff and families came together to make kindness elves. How gorgeous are our little elves made from gumnuts. All you have to do is, do something kind, let us know about your kind deed by tagging us @lilyfieldearlylearningcentre with the #sharethekindness and then leave the kindness elf in the community for someone else to find and to #sharethekindness. We cannot wait to see how far our kindness elves will travel.

Finally our families have donated care packages for the residents of Aldersgate nursing home which the children are very excited about to give them their hand picked gifts. Thank you to all our wonderful families & staff for contributing to these appeals, your generosity has been amazing.
