25.01.2022 ...it’s time to dance please help support Event Avenue and so many other wedding suppliers in the efforts to bring back dancing to our Tassie Weddings by signing this petition. We need to collectively work together to do what we can to get our weddings back to what they should be. If you can spare a moment that would be fantastic
24.01.2022 It seems like so long ago since we shared cake photos so thought I'd better sit down and share the wedding cakes from the last few weeks... This first cake we wanted to share with you was made for the wedding of Carly & Duane who came all the way from South Australia to get married at Frogmore Creek. Good choice guys! The cake was our raspberry & white chocolate for the base and our very own chilli chocolate mud cake for the top tier, all finished with swiss meringue butterc...ream, highlights of gold leaf and fresh florals that were provided by the beautiful Lani from The Romantics Florist...Lani I hope we did ok with arranging the florals... Now about chilli choc mud, I love this cake, particularly as the weather gets cooler, nice to have something to warm the soul. After you've had chilli choc mud, you'll think normal choc mud is a little boring! Carly & Duane, congratulations on your wedding, we hope you had an amazing day filled with lots of love & laughs. Wishing you both all the very best and thank you for allowing us to join in with your journey. Take care of each other xxx
23.01.2022 What a lovely memory to pop up today...loved this cake then and I still do now
23.01.2022 Sorry to leave you all hanging there waiting for cake photos....I've now managed to edit the photos and thought I'd start by sharing with you a wedding cake from earlier this month. Jessica & Craig were married on 11th August at the beautiful Stonefield and the rain cleared and the sun shone which is just how it should be on your wedding day. The cake was our citrus mud & raspberry & white chocolate mud cakes finished with fluted swiss meringue buttercream and completed with ...our handmade sugarpaste peonies, succulents & spinning gum. Jessica & Craig, we wish you all the very best as you start your married life together. We hope you had a magical day and that you loved your wedding cake as much as we did making it for you. Take care of each other xxx

21.01.2022 Hi everyone, this is a call out to our past couples who might have a photo of your cake cutting at your wedding. If this sounds like you, it would be lovely if you could email me at [email protected] and I can let you know the details. Thanks everyone xxx
20.01.2022 Look at all the cupcakes today I got to spend the morning at the the DEC with a few of our Tassie Cake Angels handing out cupcakes that had been made some of the Cake Angels volunteers, including me...the cupcakes were made for the Special Children’s Christmas Party & the kids absolutely loved them.
20.01.2022 This weekends wedding cake was special for me .you see it was the father of the groom who built my cake studio for me and made my vision a reality....and Justin's lovely mother has always been my most valued follower....so it was my absolute honour to deliver this lovely wedding cake to Stefano Lubiana Wines & Osteria for the wedding of Emma & Justin. What a beautiful day it turned out to be...perfect weather for a wedding and a what a stunning venue to be married at. The ...top tier was our raspberry & white chocolate mud cake and the base our chocolate mud cake. All lightly covered with swiss meringue buttercream and finished with a caramel drizzle and flowers supplied by Whimsy. Emma & Justin, congratulations on your marriage, we wish you both all the happiness in the world. We hoped you loved your wedding cake as much as I did making it for you. Take care of each other xxx

Take the stress away and have a look at the Isle Wedding Facebook page or the website www.isleweddings.com.au
19.01.2022 Morning everyone...hope you're all doing well. We didn't want to weigh in on the whole COVID-19 situation but we do realise that the current state of uncertainty may affect some wedding plans. With this in mind, we would like to assure you that we are, at this time, business as usual and all existing bookings will be honoured. We may have to hunt down some supplies i.e. flour & eggs etc but fear not we will exhaust all avenues in our efforts!... For those of you that have booked your wedding cake with us, we would ask that you keep in contact letting us know about any changes to your wedding arrangements. Things that are important are as follows. Guest numbers...You may find that your guest numbers are less than expected so you may not require the size cake that you originally ordered. This is easily fixed and we can always adjust the size or your cake according to the number of guests; Venue changes...with one of Tasmania's venues electing to temporarily close, this might become a real possibility for more venues. If you are affected and are changing your venue, please let us know...we like to deliver our cakes to the right spot. Cancellation....I hope this doesn't happen for any of our couples but in the event that you decide to cancel or postpone your wedding, please let us know as soon as possible. We can either refund your deposit or alternatively use it as a credit so that you can rebook at a later date. Thanks everyone, and please keep safe & well.
19.01.2022 Our first wedding cake of the year was delivered on Sunday to Peppermint Bay Hotel and Cruise for the wedding of Tamara & Danny. For this cake, our Chocolate Mud, Hazelnut Mud & Chocolate Raspberry Mud made up the tiers which were all finished with a thin coating of Swiss Meringue Buttercream. The florals were provided by the beautiful Kirsty from Mrs Florist. Always love spending time with Kirsty on wedding setups...... Congratulations to Tamara & Danny, we wish you every ounce of happiness. We hoped you loved your wedding cake...
19.01.2022 Hi everyone...photos of the last couple of weeks wedding cakes coming up shortly but I just wanted to have a chat about quotes if I can.... When someone contacts us for a quote we like to get the details right so that we can send the quote out...this isn't a quick process and the time spent on working through them can be considerable. I also put a note in our diary against the date with your name on it so that firstly, we remember that we've sent you a quote and secondly, so... that we don't overbook (places are extremely limited). Now, I know that everyone I send a quote too isn't necessarily going to accept our quote and that's fine...I get it, and whilst I'd love to help everyone I know I can't and that's just business. What I would love though is just a quick email back saying, thanks but ....(insert any reason here). I promise I won't be heartbroken (ok for a minute maybe) but what it does do is allow me to take your name out of our diary. Thanks so much everyone....photos of cakes to come soon....
18.01.2022 Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday...we're having some wet weather here today so thought it was a good opportunity to share yesterday's wedding cake with you... How lovely was it to return to my favourite medium...fondant...it has and always will be my first love so it was our absolute pleasure to create this classic two tier wedding cake for Danielle & Micheal who were married yesterday at Peppermint Bay Hotel and Cruise. What a stunning spring day they had for their we...dding. The cake was our chocolate mud & caramel mud, finished with fondant with silver leaf detail. Simply adorned with a personalised cake topper, it didn't need anything else! We hope you had a brilliant day yesterday and we wish you all the happiness for you future together. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your wedding day xxx

15.01.2022 What can I say...except, I love this cake! I was excited to be able to make this wedding cake for Sarah & Billy & I loved every minute. Now, as a cake decorator, I'm kind of a clean line kind of girl so torn fondant is something that goes against the grain for me and my OCD was in overdrive, but honestly...I had a ball and can't wait to rip & tear more fondant! Watch this space. So the cake was a two tier double barrel with the base being our caramel mud & the top tier our ...coconut & lime mud. The organic edge, or from the phrase the cake world borrowed from the stationary world "deckle edge" was finished with a touch of gold. The stunning floral arrangement was by the amazing Jardine Botanic Floral Styling, it was lovely to meet you Jardine and I'm now a massive fan of your work! The venue looked outstanding with your floral work. As always it was a delight to see Lisa from Artaud and Co transform a venue to something magical...and her work at the Brooke Street Larder was no exception. Sarah & Billy, thank you so much for entrusting me with your vision for your wedding cake and we do hope you loved it as much as I did making it for you... Congratulations and wishing you both all the happiness as you start on your journey together xxx

Congratulations to you both, wishing you a lifetime of wedded bliss & magical memories #tasmania #tassiewedding #tassieweddingcakes #tassiecakedecorators #coconutandlime #yayforweddings #weddingcakeforfriends
13.01.2022 This stunner was delivered to Home Hill Winery in late November for the wedding of Grace & Angus. I was so excited to get the opportunity to recreate this beauty again (some of you may remember the design from a photo shoot last year) and it came together beautifully if I do say so myself. The cake fitted in so beautifully with the venue styling, perfectly put together by the team at Style My Day and the amazing floral work of Mrs Florist.... The cake was our Vanilla Buttercake, White Chocolate Mud & Caramel Mud, finished with fondant, chocolate feathers and gold leaf. Grace & Angus, congratulations on your marriage, may you be blessed with love & laughter always. Thank you for choosing us to make your wedding cake, it was an honour to be able to make it for you.
12.01.2022 We love an engagement cake, they carry with them a sense of fun, love & the start of a couples beautiful adventure in becoming Mr & Mrs. This was our first cake of the year and I couldn't think of a better way to start the year than with this engagement cake made for Britt & Sandy who had their engagement party at The Salty Dog Hotel The cake was a mix of our chocolate mud & raspberry white chocolate mud cakes finished with marbled fondant with gold highlights. ... A massive congratulations to Britt & Sandy on your engagement. We hope you had an amazing night xxx

11.01.2022 Sometimes, its so good to be able to remake a cake that we first did so many years ago....way back in 2014! I loved it the first time and I loved it still... This, the latest version was made for the wedding of Anthea & Adam who were married last Saturday at the stunning Rochford Hall @ Kellevie. It was my first time delivering to this beautiful venue and I certainly hope to be back again...it was breathtaking.... The cake was three tiers of our white chocolate mud cake covered in fondant, finished with lace and handmade sugarpaste roses. To Anthea & Adam, we hope you had a magical day and we hope it was everything you dreamed your wedding day would be. Thank you for allowing us to share in your day, it was an honour to be able to make your wedding cake.
11.01.2022 and our last cake for tonight is this beautiful semi naked cake that was delivered yesterday to Frogmore Creek for the wedding of Kiarrah & Zachary. This cake was our coconut & lime mud for the base, lemon mud for the middle tier and citrus mud for the top tier. All finished off with fresh florals by Nina from Style My Day (not sure there is an end to this amazing lady's talents). We hope you had an amazing day, the room certainly smelt amazing with all of those roses...wish...ing you both all of the happiness as you start on your journey as Mr & Mrs... We hope you loved your cake. Thanks again to Jack for the great photos...
10.01.2022 Today was supposed to be a wedding cake delivery day...but it’s not. I’ve been thinking about my beautiful couple all week and particularly today as it was to be their wedding day. I can only imagine how they and all of our other couples feel. All I can say, is that this will pass and in time you’ll be able to celebrate your wedding day with all of your loved ones, as you should do and what a celebration it will be. For me, I’ve avoided coming down to my cake studio for this... last week as it’s always been my happy place, the place I come too when everything seems out of control & somehow when I get down here, everything is right again. So it seemed right that today, I felt the need to come and sit quietly, reflect and ground myself again. So here I am, sitting in my studio, wondering the same as you when will we get back to normal? I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t know. But what I do know is that when we do, man are we going to be ready to celebrate & I’m going to be right here ready to bake your wedding cake with so much love & passion for what I do. It’s not until you can’t do something anymore that you realize how much doing it actually meant. To all of my beautiful couples, rest assured, I’ll think of you all during this time and I can’t wait to make your wedding cakes We still have some cake photos to share so keep tuned in to see them. Take care everyone, be kind to each other, stay at home if you don’t need to be out and look out for your loved ones.
09.01.2022 Morning everyone, hope you're all well & happy. I know it must seem like I fell down a rabbit hole and I haven't been in contact with you all as much as I would have like but just wanted to provide you with an update on what's been happening in my little world. So the reason I've been missing in action (apart from that nasty Covid-19 that has kept most of very quiet) is that I had back surgery almost 3 weeks ago which has somewhat hampered my efforts to provide photos of cak...es that are still patiently waiting their turn in the spotlight. It's also meant that my time in the office has been very limited, I'm either laying down or standing up which whilst good for recovery, isn't that helpful with office admin. All that said, I am working my way through emails and messages and I do appreciate everyone's patience, I promise I haven't forgotten you, its just taking a little more time than I would normally like. Are we still taking orders? You bet we are, all this time out of my cake studio has me eager to get back baking as soon as possible so enquiries for cakes from late September onwards are more than welcome. The current situation on our availability for the traditional wedding season (October - March) is that we are taking bookings however spaces are filling up very quickly so if you're planning your wedding for this period, please get in touch soon, we'd love to hear from you. That's pretty much it for me at the moment, I do hope you're all ok and I promise that photos of cakes yet to be seen will be starting to filter through soon. Until then take care xxxx
09.01.2022 Happy Sunday everyone, it’s a beautiful day out there...we delivered our first wedding cake of the 2019/2020 wedding season yesterday so photos to follow later this evening...and also photos of the last two wedding cakes for last season which I’d neglected to share sorry... If you’re looking for something sweet to eat today I’d highly recommend a trip to the Farm Gate Market. I went this morning and got some beautiful treats from Raelene at Delicious Little Things who brings her little caravan of treats from Launceston. Unlike last time I put my goodies in the back seat so I couldn’t eat them on the way home . Have a great day everyone and I’ll post photos later tonight.
09.01.2022 Its not often we get to make birthday cakes so I jumped at the chance to make this little Parisian inspired birthday cake for Allison's MIL who was celebrating a milestone birthday... Allison mentioned that her MIL loved everything French so it was off to Pinterest for inspiration and whilst searching I came across a cake from Skyken Cake House which fitted the bill perfectly. I hope we've been able to do their design justice. Thanks again to Allison for the opportunity to create a cake for your family..I loved every minute of playing with clouds, paint & the Eiffel tower...
08.01.2022 We so loved this cake we made for Emily & Anders wedding that was held at Frogmore Creek on the 27th January. Emily & Anders, we hope you had a beautiful wedding day filled with lots of love and fantastic memories. Thank you for choosing us to make your wedding cake, we loved making it for you.

06.01.2022 How is everyone? I do hope you're all well. I'm a little excited as we have our first wedding cake this weekend in what seems like months...oh wait...it has been months, 6 long months if we're honest. Its been hard, very quiet and as yet, I'm not sure of the long term affects it will have on our little industry but hey, we're here to celebrate all things love and as they say "love conquers all" I can't wait, its going to be heavenly to be able to get back to doing what we... do best. So please keep an eye out next week for our first cake back! I thought what better way to get us in the mood for weddings was to share some of the cakes from last wedding season that I've not yet posted. So in a few minutes I'll share the first which was from a wedding way back in February...are we ready!
06.01.2022 This 4 tier semi naked cake was our last cake for the past wedding season...always good to finish the season with a tall cake I say! Nicole & Christian chose a mix of our caramel mud cake & raspberry white chocolate mud cake for their wedding cake all finished with a light coating of swiss meringue buttercream and topped with beautiful fresh native florals from Forage Flowers. The venue was the Hadley's Orient Hotel A belated congratulations to Nicole & Christian, we hope you had an amazing wedding day...
05.01.2022 What's not to love about marbled fondant...it certainly has a mind of its own and no two cakes will ever be the same. I love how you never know what the pattern is going to be like until you turn over your rolled piece of fondant and this one certainly didn't disappoint. This beautiful cake was delivered to Felicity & Joshua to celebrate their wedding in early December and it featured marbled fondant and our handmade roses & succulents. Inside was our raspberry & white choc...olate mud cake along with our blueberry & lemon mud cake. A match made in heaven! Congratulations Felicity & Joshua, we hope you had a magical day filled with lots of love. Wishing you both every ounce of happiness as you start your married life together. Thank you for having us along on your journey to become Mr & Mrs...

04.01.2022 We hope everyone has had a wonderful Easter and that you managed to eat as much chocolate as you possibly could! Last weekend we delivered this little two tier cake to The Long Gallery, Salamanca Arts Centre for the wedding of Samantha & Brendan. The cake was our chocolate mud cake covered with fondant & gold detail and finished with a Willow Tree by Susan Lordi cake topper.... 03.01.2022 So way back in February, Christalet & Nicholas were married at Frogmore Creek and we were thrilled to have been a part of their wedding day. Their wedding cake was a semi naked cake which featured our raspberry & white chocolate mud cake for all three tiers and topped with amazing fresh florals from Lisa Kingston. We do hope you had an amazing wedding day and thank you for allowing us to be a small part of making your day special xxx
02.01.2022 oh I love it when I'm going through emails and find the professional photos of cakes that our lovely couples have sent to us... Just to reminisce over this wedding season, I had to share this one from Annabelle & Marc's wedding back in January....the amazing photo was taken by Fiona Vail Photography and the stunning florals were by Sophie from Cabbages Flower Shop. Thanks so much for sending through the photos Annabelle, I loved seeing them and I hope you don't mind me sharing...
01.01.2022 This cake was made for to celebrate the wedding of Rebekah & Daniel who were married last weekend and had their reception at Willie Smith's Apple Shed Rebekah & Daniel were the lucky winners of the 50% discount competition that we ran at last years Pure Bride Expo so it was lovely that they were able to take advantage of this offer. So this lovely semi naked cake was a mixture of our white chocolate mud, white chocolate & raspberry and caramel mud cake. All finished with a l...ight kiss of swiss meringue buttercream and finished with florals by The Floral Criteria Also wanted to introduce you all to the newest family member that's starting coming with me to cake deliveries and this is my oldest nephew Jack...say hi to Jack everyone! He's been with me twice now and he's proved to be very good behind the camera so I've pretty much been leaving the photography side of things to him.... (except for that sneaky shot I took with my phone). I'm thinking the camera is probably enjoying being taken out of auto mode that I seem to leave it in. Rebekah & Daniel, we hope you had an amazing day and evening and that you loved your cake. Thank you again for having us play a small part in making your day special. Our very best wishes to you both....Take care of each other....
