24.01.2022 Good Morning! Ive been MIA for quite some time now and its good to be back and finally into the swing of things again. Thought i would start off by popping up an image of part of my daughters Communion Dress and cake that i made for her big day. The dress was inspired by Downtown Abbey and i will show a better full length image soon, just so many to edit! Hope everyone has a wonderful day and i will see you all tommorow with another post xx

22.01.2022 Good Morning, Ive been extra busy these past few months. My girls went back to school this past Monday and now things are settling back down to normal for me. This is from a recent dress test i was part of. I just adore everything about this dress and its super comfy as well according to my daughter. Hope everyone is has a wonderful day xx

22.01.2022 Good Morning! Halloween or All Hallows Eve is fast approaching. Its something that during my childhood was never celebrated, but today is something my children now revel in and i must say i revel in it right along with them......everyone needs a little bit of a reason to dress up and be silly for a night! 22.01.2022 In this time of uncertainty and change, its nice to find comfort and solace in the peace and tranquility of ones life. As i sit here, the sun is shining bright, there is a warmth in its rays and i can hear birds chirping. My children are homeschooling and my hubby sits across from me......im thankful for all the small things in my life today. Ive decided to return to a love of mine during this time.......patchwork and quilting. I have set myself a challenge, to finish 1 hexagon flower(it consists of 19-1 inch hexagons). These are all hand sewn and quite time consuming, but i find it delightfully relaxing. This will become eventually a quilt for my daughters bed.....a Grandmothers Flower Garden Quilt.....so there will be thousands of little hexagons to sew. Let day 1 begin!!

21.01.2022 Good Morning! This gorgeous little dress was worn by a very special little girl for her Baptism day. The collar was embroidered in a heritage blue thread and little Japanese beads adorn it. It has a really big bow that ties in the back and the skirt and bodice is fully lined. 20.01.2022 Good Morning, I just adore this dress, it so perfect for Spring and our hot Summers. Im particularly fond of those big flowy sleeves! My daughter picked this beautiful bright fabric and i think its suits her perfectly! She reminds of an Hawaiian Princess.... This dress is avaialable in sizes 6mths to 12yrs. Have a wonderful day xx

13.01.2022 Pumpkins.....I just love them! I love to cook with them, sew them, paint them ect. This is one of many that has to be made for Halloween and to be scattered around the house. What is your favourite Halloween item?

12.01.2022 Where has the morning gone? Dropped the kids at school, had breakfast, decided what i would be doing for the day......and then look at the clock and its 11.56am!! Hope nobody else is having that kind of day! Just thought i would share this very sweet image with you all. I hand embroidered the lavender onto the placket and added a little purple bow to it. Also added some pretty lace detailing to the pintucks.... The back is so very pretty too with a keyhole cutout and ribbon ties at the neck. Have a great day xx See more

12.01.2022 Channel your inner Domestic Goddess with these gorgeous vintage inspired aprons!! These are just so chic and feminine.........regardless of your age, every girl needs one of these!! They come in girls sizing 3-10 year and a one size fits all in womens. I just adore these beautiful aprons with a touch of a bygone era to them. The days when women and girls actually looked stylish in the kitchen. I hope you adore them too xx

10.01.2022 Oh my! Who doesnt love Unicorns? I was asked to make this set for a little girl celebrating her first birthday. Pink and gold was the colour palette and Unicorns the theme. The applique is all hand stitched with little japanese beads randomly placed and hand appliqued gold stars. The unicorn headband is made from silk and the gorgeous tutu is just so puffy and full and finished off with a nice big antique gold ribbon.... Loved making this up xx See more

07.01.2022 Good Morning, Must say i haven't touched base with you all in a little while. Have been incredibly busy, which is always lovely! Have a few images to share with you, so this one may be very belated as Halloween has been and gone, but these are my two girls dressed in their best deathly fashion. We decorated the front of the house and the girls had a ball handing out candy to trick or treaters! Of course the dresses and hat were handmade by me xx

06.01.2022 So much has been happening behind the scenes at Lily&Bea, as we have been focusing on our new business direction and creating a new marketing and business plan. During this time, it has allowed me to become inspired and to focus on the elements that I love. It allows me to showcase my skills in different aspects that I wasn't utilising prior. I have found myself getting re-acquainted with a love of mine- Hand Embroidery. With you over 30yrs of hand sewing experience, I have now been inspired to feature this specialised art into our exciting range. It adds a beautiful vintage and bespoke feel to any garment. Here is a little snippet of what I have been working on to allow myself to become inspired and excited for the new range of items that we will be releasing very soon.

02.01.2022 Good Afternoon Everyone, Well, its been a little quiet over what was the Christmas Break! I want to wish you all a very belated Happy New Year and i wish you all the best throughout the year. My little one has now started her very first year at school yesterday and her Mama is feeling a little lost. But its now time to harness my child free time and put it to good use.... This year will see a little change in direction for Lily&Bea. I think change is a good thing and am looking forward to sharing it all with you as it all unfolds.
