25.01.2022 Loved buying into the gorgeous filly with a group of farm clients. First foal out of a 1/2 sister to Makybe blue hen mare Gold Anthem. Our top filly pick of Magic Millions

25.01.2022 Super impressive 2YO filly La Mexicana by I Am Invincible romps in for an easing down 2.5 length win on her maiden start today for Freedman Racing Purchased by Belmont Bloodstock for $320,000 from our 2019 Magic Millions draft she looks an exciting prospect for her owners B2B Thoroughbreds. Well done to Tony Santic's Makybe Stud plenty of upside ahead of her by the look of that run!

22.01.2022 Who knew we'd be calling drought days the good old days? Back in December Suadela & her Ocean Park foal share a moment with the Pierro ex Whistle Baby colt. No social distancing required #precovid Pic by Sharon Lee Chapman

22.01.2022 Stunning day but a very cool and frosty one on farm this morning! Talicia and Cristina rugged up for it at morning smoko today. They along with the rest of the team have done a great job keeping on top of everything after the marathon that was Magic Millions 2020.

20.01.2022 Weanling colts on the move this afternoon. Feeling 10 foot tall and bullet proof, not a bad way to grow up.

20.01.2022 This northern hemisphere bred I Am Invincible filly is destined to race in America at a future date. She was feeling 10 foot tall and bullet proof yesterday strutting around the paddock. She's the first foal out of the beautiful More Than Ready mare Chain of Fools. One of the things we love about breeding and racing in Australia is the international interest and investment it attracts #limecountrylife

17.01.2022 Tough as nails stakes win for 3YO filly La Mexicana at Moonee Valley Racing Club on Cox Plate Day. Congratulations to Freedman Racing and B2B Thoroughbreds, she looks to have plenty of upside ahead of her. Bred by Makybe sold by Lime Country and purchased by Belmont Bloodstock at Magic Millions 2019 for $320k. Thank you to all, made our day!

17.01.2022 Looking for a star. Kiwi's get in touch as well, assistance with quarantine and relocation costs available for the right people.

17.01.2022 A great day Inglis Ready2Race sale yesterday for the farm and clients Shane Crawford & Kara Waters of Regal Farm , Cambridge who broke the Australian record a 2YO breeze up horse sold at public auction. The handsome son of Newgate Farm sire Deep Field sold to the bid of Louis Ho/Macau JC and heads to Lindsay Park Racing. A story of many friends, bloodstock agent Johnny McKeever was also involved in the selection of him as a yearling. Getting a photo of these two Kiwi's from their base in Cambridge last night was like getting an extra bid for a three legged yearling. #winning #jobdone

17.01.2022 Great start to any Saturday. What a horse, never fails to move me. Is there anew young legend in the wings having a start today?

16.01.2022 Sometimes you just need to stop, take a breath, look at what's in front of you and say WOW. The health, happiness and condition of stock, in addition to the "good heart" of the farm itself is always a priority. It's an absolute joy when both land and horses are jointly thriving and looking in their prime. Mares & foals at dawn last week - pic by Sharon Lee Chapman

16.01.2022 Winter countdown. Weanlings looking well heading into it with this lovely bunch by Fastnet Rock, Wandjina, Epaulette, Lonhro & Dundeel. Also featuring nanny Garry.

16.01.2022 2020 a year of firsts. We're incredibly proud to be partnering with fellow New Zealanders for our inaugural Australian Ready 2 Race draft Inglis . We'll be presenting a stellar group of eight horses from Trelawney Stud and Regal Farm , Cambridge https://www.breednet.com.au//lime-country-set-to-make-read

13.01.2022 Greg & dual Gr.1 winner SPALATO at the farm this week. It's now more than a decade on since he broke him in back at Lime Country NZ. Bred by the Mackie/Dunell's, what a talent he was for an injury plagued horse who only had 14 starts. Now enjoying bossing the weanling and yearling colts around, along with giving the odd dry mare a tickle up #limecountrylife pic by Sharon Chapman

11.01.2022 Close to 20 foals born on farm so far....

11.01.2022 Busy couple of days on farm with Sharon Lee Chapman Photography She's been helping us out to get through a backlog of foal photos, bless her boundless energy (and her wide angle lens). #limecountrylife

11.01.2022 What a stunning morning. Grass is bolting, farm is looking incredible & horses are blooming. Perfect moment.

10.01.2022 What a luscious quad our race fillies for Magic Millions are. Lot 24 L'Cosmo by Champion Sire Lonhro - won just last week. Lot 127 Carrera To The Max by Champion Sire Snitzel. Lot 146 Fleeting Feeling by Champion Sire I Am Invincible Lot 163 Cottenham by Champion Sire Redoute's Choice... If only the bank balance was bulging like a Magic Mike movie. See more

10.01.2022 Quick how to video on where, what and how to access our special information on each of our race fillies or broodmares straight from the main Magic Millions website. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5TtVG-JOfc

10.01.2022 How far and how many times? No folks, we're not talking about your high school fumblings, instead we're talking about strong pace work leading into the Inglis Ready2Race breeze ups. How do you have a well educated, well prepared 2YO which is ready to go on after this process, rather than a tired youngster looking for a long break to recover? Experience, horsemanship & individualisation gives potenial buyers faith in the Regal Farm , Cambridge product.

09.01.2022 Getting a few runners lately...

07.01.2022 Final Q&A with Trelawney Stud. Guts in the dam line and proven sires does it matter when producing and offering an Inglis Ready2Race 2YO? Or is it still all about a flashy big colt with out the pedigree if you like the type?

05.01.2022 Great opportunity for people wanting to step up and get ahead in 2021. New Roles - Draft Managers Required: 2021 will see Lime Country Thoroughbreds present approximately 60 yearlings across four sales. This year we are looking for three people who are ready for a step up to being our Draft Managers for the Lime Country Classic, Melbourne Premier and Easter sales. The right people will need to be confident on the lead with both colts and fillies and be looking for a role t...hat sits between sales team member and Yearling Manager. This is a perfect role for experienced and ambitious young people or those with all the experience already who would like to button back for a season from the responsibility of Yearling Manager. The Draft Managers will work closely with the owners around daily management of their draft, be the hands-on point of contact for vets, farriers and other specialist service providers as well as the go to person for the team members working in your draft. You will need the confidence to work with the owners to plan your drafts daily schedule, be responsible for record keeping, participate in planning meetings with all senior staff on farm and have the desire to present an exceptional draft of horses that we can all be proud of. In addition, we will be looking for four yearling team members to join our existing team for the season. You may also be involved in the recruitment of those people to ensure a great team for the season. In return we offer the opportunity to further your education, skill, craft and understanding of yearling preparation, development, and management. In addition, there will be accommodation on farm, an excellent remuneration package and user-friendly hours. These will be challenging roles but excellent ones for people who wish to learn as much as possible rather than being a cog in a bigger machine for the 20/21 season. Any of these three roles could provide the opportunity for promotion into a future Yearling Manger’s position at Lime Country or if preferred would finish at the end of the contract. NB: All farm staff attending sales will be paid casual sales staff rates while at sales. PS: Loads of great pubs, dining, shopping and things to do within a 4km radius. Best of all the beach is only 50 minutes away, a summer close to Sydney isn't all bad... Please apply with CV and references in strictest confidence by email to [email protected] All shares of this post will automatically go into a draw for one of these limited-edition Lime Country Thoroughbreds super comfortable, feather puffer jackets valued at $280. Draw to be filmed and shared on Sunday 20th September. Get amongst it people! Georgia Griffin Greg Griffin

05.01.2022 COVID life has meant that we've worked with all three Sharon Lee Chapman Tim Patterson & finally yesterday Rorison Racing & Bloodstock to get all our Magic Millions broodmare draft filmed. Thank you to Tim in Melbourne, Sharon in Queensland and Dave here in Sydney - great effort! Look out for our "Leg Work Done" documents on all race fillies and broodmares early next week including video's of all the draft. Thank you team #limecountrylife

05.01.2022 Lime Country are looking for sales staff for the upcoming sales season. Leaders required for Magic Millions January, Classic Feb, Melbourne Premier March, Easter April. This could also knock on to the mare and foal sales if suited. Potential to lock in all four sales if preferred for the season. Excellent daily rates available and well-behaved drafts of between 12 and 18 per sale. NZ flights available if required. Potentially, work at the farm available in between sales if wanted. Please email [email protected] or call Jo on 0428 960 669.

04.01.2022 Well done to Adam Shankley on winning the Lime Country Mac Pac jacket! We'll be in touch for your size and get it sent for embroidery ASAP

02.01.2022 Kicking off this morning with Part 2 of our Q&A with Shane Crawford from Regal Farm , Cambridge with a couple thrown in from bloodstock agent @bBevan C Smith about how Regal have educated their Inglis Ready2Race colts.
