22.01.2022 Venturing into the wild urban jungle is always a voyage of discovery. Found hidden deep in the overgrowth was a fine specimen of Frontus Gardenus Domesticus, more commonly known as a Front Yard. Previously thought to be extinct in this location, it was found to be thriving and was not afraid to be seen. Unlike it's less seen relative Domesticus Yardus Backus, the Front Yard is a beast that likes to preen and show off, creating jealousy and imitation in nearby rivals. While th...is specimen is yet to fully show off its beauty, with a little coaxing it won't be long. Whilst hacking through the undergrowth, we even found signs of an ancient irrigation system, proof that humans had once trecked these parts. 18.01.2022 So for today's job we did a bit of aeration work, and a few people are probably wondering what aeration actually is. It's a process of creating holes in the lawn, by either removing a plug of earth or just poking holes into the ground. Why do we do this? It allows for better penetration of nutrients, air and water into your lawn. Today's job, the lawn had a few dips and sloped downhill. At these points, the grass was well established and very green, a very clear signal that water was not penetrating correctly and pooling. After a little aeration, we should see a big turn around in the lawn over the next 4 weeks as we create a stronger root system.
