24.01.2022 We don't only plants in our gardens, since establishing back in 1977, we now have over 100 bird species, wallabies, possums, bandicoots, echidnas, but today we had this visitor. We have created an environment from a denuded cattle farm. It can be done. Seeing him today makes all our hard work worthwhile. Our retail is open Monday to Friday, 8.30 am. to 4.00pm, 263 Limpinwood Valley Road Limpinwood. Call out, view the gardens, specialist Native Plant Grower for over 40years. Please note that our online shop will be closed for 2 weeks owing to an op I have to have. Will be back with more varieties.



22.01.2022 We have advanced NSW Xmas Bush in flower in stock now for $45.00. Grow your own flowers for the Christmas table centre piece. This compact small tree has delicate foliage and stunning white flowers which turn dark red for a spectacular display at Christmas time. It can be used as an attractive screen or ornamental tree year round, providing flowers to cut for the festive season. Open this Saturday.

18.01.2022 Spring has arrived at Limpinwood Botanic Gardens & Nursery, the nursery is well stocked with a fabulous range of Australian Native Plants to create a wildlife friendly garden. The Gardens are full of flowers, Grevillea, Kangaroo Paws, Bottlebrushes are just some that are full of parrots and honeyeaters. Take the time to wander through our gardens and enjoy the acres of blooms. 18.01.2022 Looking for a great hedge or feature plant in your garden, how stunning is the new growth on our new release Acmena 'PurpleRain', this appears on all new growth, a great Lillypilly that stays bushy and is easily pruned to size and shape, also resistant to pimple pysllid bug. 11.01.2022 A busy week was had, thanks to everyone who called out to our Nursery after opening Retail. We sold out of our Waratahs, but have them back in stock. We are open Monday to Friday, 8.30 am. to 4.00 pm, closed weekends. 08.01.2022 How adaptable are our native epiphytes? Our property adjoins a national park, and apart from randomly growing on most of our established rain forest trees, som...e have also used our many plastic tanks, check how the roots attach and in some cases they have made their own sphagnum type moss to grow on. Staghorns, Elkhorns and orchids such as Sarcochilus falcatus, the Orange blossom Orchid and the rare orchid genus Oberonia. Nature can be so adaptable if we just let it. See more

08.01.2022 Also in stock is the popular Bush Food plant 'Lemon Myrtle', Backhousia citriodora. Not only is this plant one of the best bush foods, it is also a beautiful ornamental with its glossy green aromatic leaves and fluffy white flowerheads. Whilst it is capable of growing into a small to medium sized tree, it can be kept as a shrub through regular pruning of the growing tips. This also serves to harvest the plant for its culinary uses for flavouring all sorts of dishes. Plant in a sunny spot with well drained soil and feed and water regularly during the warmer months to give yourself plenty of shoots. A rainforest tree from north NSW and south Queensland. Can take light frosts.

06.01.2022 Native Sarsaparilla is a common prostate or twining vine much loved for its purple pea flowers that bloom in winter and spring. It is an ideal ground cover for a sunny area of about one to two metres per plant. Mix it yellow billy buttons or yellow paper daisies for a colourful display. Alternatively use it as a climber on a vertical landscaping feature such as a wire trellis. A versatile, hardy plant, that grows fast. It attracts birds, & the Common Grass-Blue Butterfly. 02.01.2022 We have a fabulous range of grafted 'Flame Trees' (Brachychiton acerifolia). 02.01.2022 Limpinwood Botanic Gardens & Nursery will be opening for retail sales this coming Monday 8th June from 8.30 am to 4pm, and then weekdays from then on. A great range of plants aat reasonable prices, buy direct from the grower. Specialising in Australian Native Plants, Camellias, vireya rhododenrons, magnolias etc. We have been established at Limpinwood since 1977 and employ many local people, Russell & Sharon would love for you to visit from Monday or any other weekday.
