15.01.2022 I make a range of tableware. These plates are a style I like for their gentle curve and simple line. The sizes and dimensions allow for options in use. I’m always interested in hearing how people use their crockery-what piece for what purpose, dish or time of day. What someone’s ‘go to’ pieces are, what they only use if everything else is in the dirty dishwasher, the mug that stays at the back of the cupboard, the one they use for every cuppa. What piece they can use for abs...olutely everything and would be lost without. What purpose can only be served by that one cup or jug or bowl, the jug that has to hold the gravy at Christmas, the chipped teapot from Grandma. It’s really cool to get beyond the surface level of someone wanting a piece and hear more of the story. It’s different for everyone. Home, and how we use a domestic space and the items within it is part of a life. It can be practical, ritual, simple, complicated, fascinating, intimate, even funny. I see that the items we handle in the home become props in our story and sometimes they form the story too.
