07.01.2022 Lovely to see my two magpie paintings in their new home. And so nice they got to stay together, as siblings often do. Seeing them on an uncluttered wall put them in a different context and adds gravitas. Very good for an artist’s confidence.
01.01.2022 My new magpie model...she is a bit scruffy as she is developing her adult plumage, which will be black & white. Females have a grey tinge to the white on the nape of neck. She has always been the most forward of the magpie mob, and seems to have settled on a male companion and they hang out most days, catching grubs, calling for a snack through the open window and giving me a song on command. I love her.
