25.01.2022 A dear friend sent this to me and as I read it I thought this is the truth of friendship. When you can be with someone in those not so fun times as well as those celebrations. I think it represents the level of friendship when you are trusted to sit on the floor with someone who means a lot to you. Love it.

21.01.2022 My colleague and friend Di Krome could be an awesome support for you if you intend on applying for this grant.

20.01.2022 My experience support people through the family court system is the court continues to traumatise those who suffered Domestic Violence. The question shouldn’t be what’s fair custody it should be what’s the safest, secure environment for the child/children? If the children aren’t safe and continue to be traumatised they grow up and spend many years and lots of money in the office if people like me. What a waste of potential and an incredible amount of UNnecessary trauma. Things need to change and quick. If you feel to support this please sign. https://womenslegalservice.good.do/putkidssafetyfirstinfam/

20.01.2022 I'm off to buy this book!

17.01.2022 I had a gentle shove into the world of death and dying and palliative care when I picked up a brochure about Karuna Hospice here in Brisbane. I was looking for somewhere to volunteer and did their training in 2007. One of the many learnings from my experience with Karuna as a volunteer supporting clients who have chosen to die at home, was presence. To be present with others with nothing to do or change....just be. I also realised more fully how poorly we deal with death and ...dying. Imagine if we could be so much more present to the deep feelings of grief and loss. It is so important to give yourself the space to grieve however you do that. My experience within my own clinic supporting people with unresolved grief has been that like me most of us were taught how to avoid grief rather than embrace it and move through it. As a society we show the level of importance of processing grief by allowing people to have 2 days bereavement leave (and the person who died has to be closely related). These are the parameters I experienced within my working environments. There is no allowance for a pets death, which can be crippling to some. It's so important to be able to discuss death and dying and it was great to see death cafes become a space to have discussions around death and dying. In this video a beautiful palliative care Doctor shows the importance of medical staff to be able to say the words 'death' and 'dying' to parents of children who were dying. As hard as it is, the truth is always better than having to deal with our own mix of inner suspicions/knowing and denials. Have you told your family what you wish to happen if something should happen to you? Have you thought about what you would like to happen when (not if) you die? And you don't have to wait until you are sick. Having the discussion while you are well is better than when you are in the thick of ill health. My first will was made when I was 18years old when I went into the RAAF. At the time it only half dawned on me I had chosen a career that could lead to my death. I don't recall one conversation with other recruits about making a will and what that might mean. It was just another form to complete! Grief and loss are part of living this wonderful life we have. What if we truly acknowledged our death in order to live more fully? What if we could experience all aspects of our lives more fully?

16.01.2022 Have you noticed when you have expectations that you are often disappointed because your expectation hasn't been met? Often what we don't see are the subtle or hidden expectations. It's not much fun being continually disappointed. What if you were willing to practice acceptance of whatever was in front of you? Imagine how simple and freeing your life would become!... I invite you to have a go and let me know what you notice.

15.01.2022 This is an unfathomable statistic!!! If you have spent any time visiting court hearings you would understand how this can continue to happen. This is a disgrace! It has been my observation that the justice system continues to perpetrate violence against women (I am aware that men can also suffer domestic violence, I just haven't witnessed them in a court room) by supporting their abuser who uses children to continue to control and try to destroy their ex, who successfully was... able to remove herself from their control. Yet psycho-emotionally is chained in this DV experience by the judges and the justice system. First time I heard a judge speak to a women who had experienced DV I couldn't believe my ears - sounded quite abusive to me. I left there so angry at the injustice. On my train ride home I said to myself - 'you need to find a way to turn this anger into something useful'. Our justice system has a lot to answer for in the realm of traumatising those who have had the courage to leave DV relationships.

14.01.2022 I recorded an interview with my Homeopath Sarah Kottmann in April about building the immune system. It was COVID-19 that prompted me to do the interview. I hope you can find some helpful advice in there. Sarah is back in her clinic if you have any questions for her. Her website is https://www.northlakeshomeopathy.com.au/ https://youtu.be/cbnZ9enMvdc

14.01.2022 I've been hearing the statement I don’t see colour quite often recently. I'm doing my own inner work with hidden racism # within me and my own biases which come from just being white. I am not judging those who make or feel this statement to be true. My desire is to open a discussion. My observation is I've only heard white people say this. Therefore, I wonder what is it that white people are truly not seeing? What may be out of their awareness? What does this statement mea...n? I wonder what it would be like to hear this statement if you were a person of colour? Does this statement minimise the experience/existence of a person of colour? What does this statement give to the white person? By this I mean, does this statement link to hidden white supremacy or whiteness being the norm? How is it possible to not see colour? If we don’t see colour then how can we see a person of colour? Are we denying/avoiding the history of trans-generational, collective and cultural traumas of people of colour? Is this what we are subconsciously not able to see? Healing Humanity with The Truth is my research project. The starting point is with white Australians. Express your interest to be involved. https://forms.gle/D3XkarTfGCxxCCCZ7 May you be well may you be happy and may you have Inner Peace

13.01.2022 I don't usually speak out about this HOT topic and it is definitely time to speak up because I totally disagree with the direction we are being forced into! As most of you know I am a natural therapies practitioner who has studied many modalities over many years and continue to study natural therapies. Science is always catching up with natural medicine and continues to do that to this day. Ancient sciences are as valid today as they were back then and this is what science is...Continue reading

06.01.2022 I'm joining with Di Krome from Wildfire Business Consulting and Business Moreton Bay Region to deliver some training around mental health and business. If our mind is out of whack then most things line up with that. To achieve and be successful in business you need to have a well balanced mind. Our mental health is so important yet it is often neglected and only gets attention when it is causing us grief. We hope to turn that around for people and help highlight ways to recognise when you need to take action before it is a problem. We would love you to join us.

06.01.2022 Beautiful - 'I AM WOMAN'

03.01.2022 I lived on my grandparents dairy farm when I was young and I would sit on the fence and sing to the cows as they waited for their turn to be milked. My back up singers were two willy wagtails who had some pretty cool dance moves and some cool harmonies. I remember this as being such a peaceful and connected space for me...like the world dropped away. Animals have always been a place of refuge for me and still are today. What I especially love today is that I can give animals ...a place for refuge, a place to heal from their trauma and a place to find peace. Love this little girl and her innocent connection to animals, it reminds me of my beautiful little innocent girl who could connect with animals and nature. What do you find refuge in? #animalcommunication #traumarecovery #peace #connection https://www.facebook.com/watch/

02.01.2022 We can all take a leaf out of natures book. "Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished." Lao Tzu How can you slow down your day today?
