21.01.2022 Today I took photos again for Kayak4Kids the annual fundraising event for the charity, who provide support for children with disabilities...the NSW Disabilities Minister, John Ajacka was again present as he has been every year that I have been an official photographer for the race...:-)

18.01.2022 The magic of photo editing - these three images were all taken with a minute of two of each other, all of the same scene with the same camera settings - the difference is the editing...and extrapolated out when I am taking photos in difficult light at an event particularly when it is dark and there are different sources of lighting...when your photos are miraculously there on your email the next morning there is about 1.5 mins each of editing or about 3.5 hrs in total which means that after I get home it will be the early hours of the morning before I get to bed...

18.01.2022 Today I caught up with a close friend, Rani and her little daughter, Misha. I have been taking photos of Misha since she was born and she is 3 now...and today I took some snaps of them and looking at the photos tonight I cant believe how she is growing up...:-)

14.01.2022 Last night I was the official photographer at an awareness/fundraising event for Australian Himalayan Foundation . The event, Himalayan Day was held at Verve at Darlinghurst and was a cocktail event which included talks and entertainment upstairs in the theatre... It was a really good night even if I was struggling with a bad dose of the flu...lol

12.01.2022 I as the photographer (and greatly assisted by a fantastic photographer, Hayden Brotchie) at a family wedding last night and here is a picture from the night...:-)

12.01.2022 A bird in Ecuador...:-)

12.01.2022 One from the archives - April 2009 - Bhaktupur, in Nepal - I have mixed feelings...in one way it appeals because of the diagonal stairs etc leading to the man and he is then appearing to be casually reading the a paper - but then on the other hand it is a bit messy but that mess also provides more insight into the environment...what do you think?

11.01.2022 Just having another sticky beak from my trip away this week...:-)

11.01.2022 Manning a stall for Australian Himalayan Foundation at Paramasala at Parramatta...

01.01.2022 Back in 2006 I was fortunate enough to meet Pem Pem, the daughter of Tenzing Norgay, the Sherpa who, with Sir Edmund Hillary first scaled Mount Everest. Pem Pem took a small group of us on the Darjeeling trip I was on, up to Kalimpong for the day. I can imagine the dilemmas/choices they (Sir Edmund and Hillary) had to make and they would have been narrow and perhaps their lives depended on those choices. But, they would also have had to make choices before scaling the mounta...in that ensured that they could know each other and trust each other. Does or should your behaviour and basis for your decision making change mid climb? And if so, how? How do we weigh up our choices and what weight do we put on those choices?
