25.01.2022 Just under a month ago, Good Health asked me to write an article on the Coronavirus from an Australian perspective. That article was published in this month's Good Health magazine. For the article, I spoke to infectious disease expert, Associate Professor Sanjaya Senanayake at the Australian National University who gave some great insights into the outbreak. While some of the information in the article is no longer current (the confirmed number of cases has gone up and we now have additional travel bans in place), most of the information is still relevant. However, one thing no-one could have predicted was the great toilet paper crisis!

25.01.2022 Excited about my article in the April issue of GOOD Health magazine which explores innovative ideas about ageing by great minds like Dr David Sinclair, Dr Sandra Kaufmann, Ilchi Lee, Dr Steven Gundry and Professor Laurie Buys. Get your copy from newsagents and supermarkets across Australia. Available now.

23.01.2022 It is always great talking to researchers who are striving to find the answers to serious cancer problems. Sri Pothula is one of these amazing researchers. Read about his research into pancreatic cancer, a cancer with one of the most dismal prognoses. https://www.concert.org.au/sri-pothula-uncovering-the-secr/

23.01.2022 A two-year-old with high blood pressure and pre-diabetes? An 11-year-old weighing over 180kg! With over 44,000 children in South West Sydney who are obese, something desperately needed to be done. Great work by the Growing Healthy Kids team who are tackling this problem, giving children the chance of a better future. Read my article about it here. https://www.southwestsydneyresearch.org.au/tackling-childh/

20.01.2022 This is why I love English!

19.01.2022 Do you know that tuberculosis kills 4,000 people EVERY day? Yet, most of us don't even know it's happening because the media doesn't report on it. And why doesn't the media report on it? Because it's not seen as relevant: it's happening to "them" and not "us" so what's the point? We need to stop this distinction and realise that eradication of this terrible disease will, in the end, benefit us all. Read my article on the research being done by Australian researchers striving to make a difference. https://www.southwestsydneyresearch.org.au/australian-rese/

18.01.2022 The best part of my job is talking to amazing researchers who are working on innovative solutions to health problems. This week I spoke to Associate Professor Paul Breen about a t'shirt that measures respiration, heart rate and temperature. Originally designed for use with sleep apnea patients, the technology is now being redeveloped for use with COVID-19 patients. Read my article here.

18.01.2022 Fascinating research in brain cancer using 3D bioprinting technology... giving hope to brain cancer patients in the future.

08.01.2022 Chuffed to see the Editor of Good Health mention my article in her editorial this month! Yay!

08.01.2022 Just about to submit my entry for the second round of the 100-word microfiction.

07.01.2022 For the last few months I've seen an influx of probiotics, marketed specifically towards women, hit the shelves. It made me wonder whether there is actually any real need for special probiotics for women. My article in this month's (MAY 2020) issue of GOOD HEALTH looks at this very question. After talking to the experts, I found out that the answer isn't so clear cut. The latest issue is out now in supermarkets and newsagents across the country.

05.01.2022 In her book, The Kaufmann Protocol, Dr Sandra Kaufmann not only looks at the seven reasons why we age but helps you decipher what molecular agents you can take to help you slow down the ageing process. This is NOT about looking young. It's about slowing down ageing on the inside (on a cellular level). If you're interested but don't want to read a whole book on it, get my latest article "Ageing is inevitable: or is it?" published in this month's issue of GOOD HEALTH magazine. I was lucky to spend some time chatting with Dr Kaufmann. She spent over four years researching ageing. She knows her stuff.

03.01.2022 To all the parents struggling with trying to be a parent and a teacher, this article is a great read. "So, let’s throw out the rule book on schooling. Let’s remember we are in crisis and although we have moved rapidly to this point, we do not have to adjust with the same speed to a new home-based education system. Do what feels right for your family, even if that means throwing out the schedule." https://ethics.org.au/this-isnt-home-schooling-its-crisis/

01.01.2022 It was an honour to talk to Ben Smith: a man on a mission to help cancer survivors who fear cancer recurrence
