21.01.2022 I love animals, and they are good therapy for the girls. Couldn't bear to put this one down. One of my girls would really like to have PeePee. The surgery is $4000 however. 19.01.2022 As Linda prepares for this years Christmas Appeal, where she will endeavour to provide more than 200 families with food hampers, vouchers and other means of assistance, she is seeking donations to ensure as many effected families as possible can be reached. Ms Watson said that most people would not understand the broader ramifications on the families of those women caught up in this industry, who, according to Ms Watson, are the hidden victims of the current rampant social c...atastrophe emotionally, mentally and financially drained by their involuntary involvement. Ms Watson was recently approached by a father who was caring for his young grandson, following his sons death by suicide and daughter-in-laws continuing loop of self-destruction through drugs and prostitution. As he held back his tears he was pleading for help, Ms Watson recalls. He had struggled to pay all the bills and to meet his mortgage payments and he had only $20 in his pocket to feed himself and his grandson. I gave him the donated food we had collected and raided our own fridge to ensure he had something to eat later.

10.01.2022 A matter for prayer and help, please. Linda is finding more and more girls, not just with drug addiction and trauma issues -- they are increasingly having mental conditions which need treatment. It's a new level of severity and these girls are extremely difficult to help. If they fly interstate for treatment, Linda has to accompany them to ensure they behave rationally on the plane trip. These are very sad stories and messed-up lives. ... This is why Linda is so resolute in speaking against the decriminalisation of the sex trade - anything that normalises prostitution and encourages pimps and traffickers (for example, making pimping and procuring legal) would lead to profound damage in our community.
10.01.2022 Yay! A man has paid for the wall in Linda's bathroom to be pulled out, for the plumber, the rendering and the ceiling work: $5000. We are grateful and excited about that! $6000 more is needed for tiles, basin, taps, shower fittings, shower glass to complete Linda's bathroom renovation for the girls. Can you help this Christmas?

08.01.2022 Update on the cat we rescued: one of our girls is hoping to take the cat (good therapy). Balance of surgery bill that needs to be paid is $AUD 2919.20. We paid $600 last month from our ministry account. It would be fantastic if animal lovers could help.

07.01.2022 Can you believe this? When I opened my crisis line in 1999, I took 280 Australia-wide calls from battered, desperate and drug-addicted sex workers in TWO days. This was published in Who Weekly back then. #throwback
07.01.2022 A few days ago, when I returned from my shopping, my back door was removed and my house including my incomplete kitchen renovations were smashed and trashed. My cats were let out, and one of them did not return until late at night, petrified. At the moment, the only thing of value missing is my passport. Police are investigating. Suspected bikie gangs have targeted our House of Hope over many years, usually when I have spoken out about the damage done by the sex trade t...o vulnerable young women I have had my windows smashed. The house has been firebombed. My side fence has been burned and my back door forced. My dog has been cruelly beaten up. I have been repeatedly stalked and harassed. I often receive threatening phone calls. Please do keep us in prayer.

05.01.2022 "I got lured by a madam saying, you only have to work for two months (& earn $2000 a week), and nobody would know." That's how I got into prostitution -- I never thought I'd stay for 20 years. We do have another 6-minute video shot while I was doing a Foodbank run! Next week I am bringing a girl to see a doctor. Someone has offered to do admin work so I am meeting her on Monday. Grateful to God for His provision.

It's so important to hear the perspective of someone who actually knows what is going on in the sex industry and the impact it is having on woman and their families.
