25.01.2022 ALL DRESSED UP AND NOWHERE TO GO Today was Barbarella's turn to start at official competitions. Big clean up yesterday, plait up this morning. We get to the grounds in time and then she stepped awkward off the tailgate and walked three legged... so I scratched all 3 tests. ... What a shame, now lets check the calendar to see what else is on competition wise as I'm so keen to take her out ! See more

24.01.2022 IT WILL BE A SAD GOODBYE FOR THESE 3 LADIES. Barbarella, Prima Vera and Kelty will be sad to see Horatio go as they all had a special bond with him. The first two were guided by him when they got weaned as he took over that special role after Dopey left years ago. They are still in his paddock and love him to bits.... For Kelty it was her first big moving quality warmblood that she rode and despite her being so over-horsed by his size, she learned that special skill and technique to keep up with his trot! 23.01.2022 SPR FIYERO SURVIVED HIS FIRST COMPETITION. It's been a long time coming but finally our special boy, SPR Fiyero, aka *Hannes, did his first competition and he did so well. I started him HC at a pink ribbon day in Logan Village. Although there were some emotional moments and his heart was pounding, yet he was obedient and gave me such a smooth ride that I straight away entered him for the next comp. this weekend in Samford.... Love riding this horse !

13.01.2022 WITH EVERY NEW DAY, THIS LITTLE MAN CONFIRMS WE MADE THE RIGHT DECISION. When we put our mares in foal we go for a thorough selection of both mare and stallion. In this case we put SPR Poesta ( Sandro Hit X Osmium ) in foal to Super Sire: VITALIS ( Vivaldi X D-Day )... Now, a week after foaling and unfolding, we know we made the right choice and watching him develop day by day into a picture perfect conformed colt puts both a smile as well as a proud smirk on our face.

09.01.2022 HOW ANNA'S POSITION IMPROVED. These side by side shots were taken from prior to having lessons here (right) and after a number of lessons. (left) "Just Riding" is the mere art of not falling off too often but "Riding Well" is so much more.... That is when a centered position and moving with the horse comes in place. Most riders learn to just follow the horse but that often ends up being behind the movement which limits the horses' freedom of movement. The next step up is staying balanced at the horses' center of gravity at all times. That is when you become a much easier package for the horse to carry and when riding for horse and rider becomes effortless. Keep up the good work Anna and we will just keep throwing new challenges at you !

07.01.2022 A GREAT WAY TO UPGRADE YOUR SKILLS. This week we will have an arena full of trot poles. Next week it will be canter poles and that will really put your control and balance to the test. 05.01.2022 OUR YOUNGEST RIDER ON THE OLDEST HORSE AND OUR OLDEST RIDER ON THE YOUNGEST HORSE. Olivia is 14 years old and rides 21 year old Indi every week. She started as a beginner but by now has learned all the basics of dressage and jumping which was greatly helped by the ever so trustworthy Indy.... Jill is at 68 our most senior rider but she has enough guts and insight of young horses to swing her leg over the young horses as well. At the moment, Prima is our youngest ridden horse but not for long as the exquisite "Evita" will soon get started so a new challenge ahead for Jill.

05.01.2022 FINALLY OUR FIRST TRIP WITH THE GOOSENECK. We bought the gooseneck in January, planning many interstate trips for this year but of course 2020 runs different than planned. Today we took it to a local comp to give it a test run and we were happy to have lunch in our own little kitchen. ... It was also the first outing again for Dopey since last year and I am happy to say that he is so much stronger and things just come easier to him. Looking forward to the next trip to Caboolture where we will have an overnight stay so time to test the bed and the shower.

05.01.2022 CATCHING UP WITH THE BEAUTIFUL SPR JOIA Joia ( Sandro Hit X Falkrich) was the first foal born here on our property. A beautiful, powerful and majestic horse. After giving us a number of competition years, two stunning fillies and years of being a great school master, we sold her to long term pupil and friend, Carrey Hastings.... Joia is now in foal to a top European showjumping stallion and is living a wonderful life at SPC Equestrian Center in Daisy Hill forest. I love seeing my horses doing well at their new place. Thank you Carrey and Kristy for looking after my girl.

03.01.2022 IGGY IS STARTING A NEW ADVENTURE. Iggy and his human, Terrisa, came here last year for full care agistment. He has been a lovely horse and Terrisa a good fun rider with a healthy sense of humor to have around. Iggy was always well behaved to both people and horses.... He shared a paddock with Mable and Cocoa who both had a crush on him and are already missing him. Iggy will now make the next human happy at Dalson Park and Terrisa is starting a new adventure with a well experienced warmblood. I am sure that today is not a farewell but a "see you later"

02.01.2022 TWO MORE WEEKS UNTIL THIS BEAUTIFUL GIRLS COMES BACK INTO WORK. Maternity leave will be over soon for this sporty Sandro Hit mare. Her colt ( Vitalis) will get his microchip, DNA test and final vaccination and then it is time to wean. Can't wait to swing my leg over Poesta again and get her booty back in shape. ...
