Contact us to make a collection time so we comply with COVID 19 rules. We acknowledge support from the East Gippsland Shire Council through its arts and heritage grants program.

23.01.2022 OMG the day has arrived for our annual Open House. From 4-7pm today, Fri Nov 15 and from 10am to 3 pm tomorrow, Sat, Nov 16. Lots of local artwork to view and buy. 10%of sales will be donated to the Oncology Dept. at BRHS. And dont forget the raffle of a Malcolm Boyd vase, with proceeds to BRHS as well. Also someone has had a rock art mania. And Oh my gourd, someone else has painted on them! All welcome. Bring a friend. This event is supported by East Gippsland Shire Council. See you here. 20.01.2022 TODAY!!!!!! OPEN HOME STUDIO. We have been asked by a Melbourne-based vintage car club visiting East Gippsland this coming weekend, to open our home studio. So Pete, (Manager LDA), will open to the general public from 10am to 3pm this Friday, March 15. Come along and have a look.

20.01.2022 Xmas shopping? Affordable art for someone, maybe you! We will open our home studio one last time this year tomorrow, Saturday, December 22 for viewing and sales. 10am to 2pm. We will even give you a cuppa or bubbly!

13.01.2022 Following Genevieve Kellys post this morning of Lindens painting "East Gippsland", we have decided to donate the remaining posters of this artwork to the Bairnsdale and Lakes Entrance Visitor Information Centres. 06.01.2022 Linden and I have just hung her Contemporary Naive Art exhibition in the Artspace Gallery at the Visitor Information Centre, corner of Esplanade and Marine Parade in Lakes Entrance. It opens tomorrow, December 10 and will be there until January 30. Works will be sold off the wall, so that visitors may take their purchases home with them. We will replenish as they sell. Take your family and friends there for a look over the summer holidays.

06.01.2022 Lachlan Millard grew up in Bairnsdale and has since moved to Melbourne where he studied Illustration. His images appeal to young and old alike and would make great Xmas presents for kids or grandkids. We will have framed and unframed prints for sale at this years Open House. 04.01.2022 At OH19, there will also be works by naive artist, Gwen Clarke, who now lives in Barham, NSW. Gwen was painting in the nave style long before she returned to live in East Gippsland in 1992, after 37 years in Melbourne. She was born in and grew up in Orbost, but settled outside Nicholson. As Gwen says, My life would be meaningless without my creative expression, and this to me becomes clearer as each year passes. So my reason to live is to paint, to create and most of all to... leave something behind as a record of how I see the world. Some of Gwens early works, of medical themes, are in the collection of the Nursing Archives of Australia. Gwen has always been a keen gardener, so it is no surprise that her artworks include flowers and trees. Some of her works appear in Sandra Warners book, Australian Nave Artists. Her work will be on sale at OH19 on Friday, Nov 15 from 4-7pm and Saturday, Nov 16 from 10am-3pm. OH19 is supported by East Gippsland Shire Council. See more

04.01.2022 Jill Ellis will have some of her Paper Art on sale at this years Open House. A lifetime interest in making marks on paper has led her down many pathways until she discovered visual art in a variety of ways. In 2009 she visited a local exhibition of artists books and subsequently joined Paper Arts East Gippsland: PAGE. She began making paper using various fibres from the garden, such as onion, lemongrass and rose petals. Jill also creates artworks using eco dyeing with eucalyptus leaves. OH19 will be held on Friday, Nov 15 from 4-7pm and Saturday, Nov 16, from 10am-3pm. We are at 7 The Boulevarde, Wy Yung. All welcome. OH19 is supported by East Gippsland Shire Council.

04.01.2022 We will be participating in The Hub Open Day today, Saturday, September 21 from 10am to 1pm in Bairnsdale. We will have a stall of small works and art cards for sale, including some prints by Lachlan Millard.

03.01.2022 I have given the artist the night off as she has finally finished one of her few landscapes, "Manning Gorge". It is watercolour on paper and is approx. 57cm x 76cm. It will be in her upcoming exhibition next year. Pete, Manager LDA.
