14.01.2022 Hard to believe after a tough couple of rounds that we are where we are. Matches with Burwood in Round 9 and Georges River in Round 10 have shown us what it takes as a club to be contending for the club championship. The good news is 1st Grade. After pushing Burwood, the lads were on the brink of defeat against Georges River before snaring the last three wickets for four runs and winning by 2 runs! Simon Read picked up another 5fa, and Buddha with 4 the main wicket takers. On... day 1 there were a few starts (Fox with 31) but the vital extra runs in the last wicket partnership of 33 - Alex Timbrell and Simon Read - making a big difference. 4th Grade made a good start against Georges River, putting on 211 on day 1 with Greg Flanagan 69, and Pari Rokad (58) partnering with Andrew Jerogin (43) to set a defendable total. It wasn't to be on day 2 with Georges River recovering from 2-3 and 7-149 to pass us with 3 wickets to spare. 2s and 3s had limited highlights with the bat, but Marty Marais with the ball on day 1 impressed for 2s, and Chris Brackenrig picked up 3 in 3s along with Josh Trewin snaring 2. The Frank Gray boys had a comfortable win over Pennant Hills today - and while the tables are not out yet - we pretty much know the final round against NWS next Sunday is a must win to make the finals - although other results could come into it. All in all, it was a tough two rounds. Probably confirmed where we are, particularly with the bat, but the good news is we still have opportunities to fight back in all grades.

One hurdle down with big performances in every grade: http://www.ldcc.com.au/pageitem.aspx None better than the 103 run partnership for the 10th wicket in 3rd Grade between Martin Marais and Sam Lomax. 02.01.2022 Ahead of our big clash with local rivals Roseville this week, 1st Grade skipper Buddha Rezek was featured in the North Shore Times. Well done Buddha on the good start to the season... time to share the load! This round's match up is 6 v 7 in the Club Championship, a big opportunity for Lindfield (386) to push ahead of the pack led by Roseville (328). http://www.ldcc.com.au//p/public/rv/ClubChampionship.aspx... First Grade at Lindfield Oval - Lindfield (8th) v Roseville (12th) Second Grade at Roseville Chase - Roseville (13th) v Lindfield (6th) Third Grade at Acron Oval - Lindfield (8th) v Roseville (2nd) Fourth Grade at Roseville Park - Roseville (8th) v Lindfield (2nd)
