All around the world in many cultures including western culture the dove is a symbol of peace. Given that Dr. Maria Montessori wrote a book called Education and Peace and peace was her ultimate wish for the world, we wanted to honour her hope for mankind and remind ourselves of our mission. 03.01.2022 We had so much fun at book week with a visit from Tannya Harricks, illustrator of the new children's picture book 'Kookaburra' by Claire Saxby. We learnt about the process she uses to create her oil painting illustrations and watched her draw a pastel picture of a kookaburra.
