21.01.2022 This placid little lady was the last bird that we met from the Leigh Valley Hawk and Owl Sanctuary. Eglantyne (Eggy) is a barn owl. I have never felt anything as soft as her feathers. Patting an owl should be something that everyone does at least once in their lives. We have all grown up knowing a saying along the lines of 'As wise as an owl' or 'a wise old owl'. Martin tells us we have all been misled - they are actually just plain dumb :)

11.01.2022 Pickle is the Australian Hobby that we met on Monday during our encounter with the birds from Leigh Valley Hawk and Owl Sanctuary. Apart from being a very cute little bird, she was the fastest bird I've seen. She was supremely agile as Martin worked with the lure. There was absolutely no way to pan the camera with her - she was more like a missile than a bird :)

11.01.2022 Some of my favourite images from Simone and Roger's beautiful wedding. After exchanging vows in the Sacred Heart chapel, they had photos on the grounds of Werribee Park Mansion before continuing to celebrate in the Theatre Room. It was fantastic to have the opportunity to work along side the extremely talented Con from CK Photography Melbourne - thank you :)

10.01.2022 I was a bit besotted with this little princess during our meet and greet with Martin from Leigh Valley Hawk and Owl Sanctuary. She is a dainty little Nankeen Kestrel - the first one I've seen up close. She spent a lot of her time using our heads as her personal landing strip, practising her touch down and take off techniques, then doing a big lap of the paddock and coming back to do it again. She was a real little clown. Until she figured out where Martin had the snacks hidden. Then she turned into a labrador dog and spent all her time trying to fight her way into the tucker box. Hilarious, glorious little bird. I hope I get to meet her again one day :)

06.01.2022 I have been aching to share these photos for a little while now. Tonight this incredibly talented athlete and artist won an art award at the Grovedale College VCE Arts Showcase for her folio entitled 'movement'. Congratulations Maggie and thank you for sharing your amazing talent with us :)
