16.01.2022 PRE SEASON TRAINING AND SUFFERING FROM DOMS?... What's DOMS?? Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness... This is due to unaccustomed or strenuous exercise resulting in DOMS...pain, soreness and stiffness of the muscles hours or even days after exercise. Whether you play footy, netball, swim, run or dance, pre season training is not just about running on the field or going to the gym. Getting back in shape also requires RECOVERY PERIODS as part of your training and is key to safely and effectively get that holiday bod back where you left it in 2019. Recovery period means rest and taking care of your body, it lowers the risk of injury due to stress and fatigue. There is no better solution then getting a weekly massage during your recovery period. Massage will help circulate blood around the body, reduce lactic acid build up and help the lymphatic system get rid of those nasty toxins. Massage relieves tension and helps the body to relax therefore enabling deep sleep which is ultimately what we need to heal and recover to perform at maximum. We will be taking in appointments Tuesday to Saturday to ensure our clients are happy and ready for the festive season. Chelsea will also be showing off her relaxation massage skills for those wanting to unwind and chill out. I have personally had a massage from this lovely lady and had to fight to stay awake. Awesome, firm hand at this treatment definitely worth the hour.
