23.01.2022 Many will wait long lengths of time before they consider cleaning their suits believing it will promote longevity, however not many realise their suit can be damaged if left too long between cleans, as the grit and dirt in the creases can become abrasive and wear these areas. Same goes with sweat. Left too long, the acidity of perspiration can create colour loss in the areas where the sweat has pooled leading to permanent colour loss. Here is a few care tips for your suit between dry cleaning visits: .*Rotate your suits Give them a rest. Wearing the same suit over and over will cause it to show wear after a while. *Allow your suit to hang and rest for a couple of days after wearing it. This is recovery time for the fabric.

17.01.2022 Wow is it that time already?! Time to refresh before next term. A lot of school blazers claim to be machine washable however what the care label doesn’t tell you is that repeated machine washes will ruin the fabric and shape of the jacket. Remember 10 weeks is a very long time between washes. A professional clean after every semester will refresh the jacket and get them off looking smart again.

12.01.2022 Bridal gown number 5 for the week. It takes Peter two weeks to process a gown from start to finish. After cleaning he takes progress pics and sends to the customer. Next the customer is invited to inspect the gown before being preserved and boxed. Lastly a pics of the gown nestled in the box is sent to notify it is ready to be collected. 08.01.2022 Well this confirms why we haven’t seen many pants lately however the last few days we’ve seen an influx of dacks. I’m feeling thats a good sign that people are getting out of their jammie bottoms and stepping out. The only problem I see happening is if the pants still fit or not. 06.01.2022 Yes we are clothing care experts, but we also know a thing or two about household furnishings, which, in addition to bedspreads and quilts, include curtains, bl...ankets, upholstery, quilt covers, decorative pillows, and heirloom textiles. To protect and prolong the beauty of your household textiles remember these basic tips: 1 - Protect all furnishings from sunlight, fumes, and pets. 2 - Damage, like tears, should be repaired immediately. 3 - Vacuum and/or brush to remove dust regularly. 4 - Follow the manufacturer's cleaning recommendations. 5 - Do not allow the item to become extremely soiled, and have any stains removed immediately. 6 - Do not store household textiles that are not clean and stain free.

05.01.2022 After we clean and dry quilts/blankets, they are hung to air out for 12 hours before they are bagged and ready to be collected. We have a 2-3 day furnishing turn around. Tip: Never store quilts and blankets in the plastic bag provided upon pick up. The plastic is used only to protect the furnishing for the trip home. If not using, store in a breathable bag; preferably cotton.

04.01.2022 Here we see Pete pre-treating a shirt. Here at Lindus each and every shirt is pre-spotted before cleaning. Depending on the nature of stains, some shirts need to be both dry and wet treated. If there are no oil stains present, wet cleaning is the favoured method. The shirt is then re-tensioned using a specialist machine for re-invigorating the seams and pushing gentle steam throughout the garment to soften the entirety of the shirt. The collar and cuffs are pressed mechanically to resurrect that brand new firmness we all love. Lastly we finish with a hand press and the end product is crisp perfection.
