22.01.2022 Hey Recko. You brought back a great memory for me. I played with Nick Faldo and Calvin Pete during the Australian Masters.What a lovely bloke he was. L-R: Caddy Golf Ball(nickname)Yours truly Calvin Pete Allan Miller Not only did I see an exhibition of straight driving,but on 17th hole(412 metre par 4 dog leg right)at Huntingdale my drive was the shortest,Faldo was 30metres past me on this very windy day. Peete lined up right on the tightest line and with seemingly no effo...rt he sailed past Faldo and even with the wind coming over his left shoulder the ball flight was dead straight. Very impressive.His golf swing was funky due to him falling out of a tree when he was young and he was unable to have his left arm look straight.He was a classic example of David Leadbetter’s A swing.Another example of someone who owned his own swing. He sadly passed away a few years ago now. Great legacy left behind adding to golf’s rich history. Cheers LJ See more
