25.01.2022 Sonneveld House is one of the best-preserved houses in the Dutch Functionalist style. It's amaze me to know, after almost 100 years, this house have everything a modern one would have; open livings, functions, gadgets and technologies. We are talking about double garages, service lifts, telephone, speakers, integrated furnitures, WIR, semi-ensuites, terraces. This would be a good example to compare with Villa Savoye built 2 years earlier. Looking forward for it. The villa was... designed in 1933 by architecture firm Brinkman and Van der Vlugt for Albertus Sonneveld, a director of the Van Nelle Factory. The architects designed a total concept in which architecture, interior and furnishings are perfectly coordinated and reinforce one another. Light and spacious, the house features numerous balconies and large areas of fenestration that offer views of the surrounding garden. See more

20.01.2022 Stedelijk museum Amsterdam. The newly extended sculptural building is extremely bold given its main gallery is the old building. There is almost none in terms of connections between the old from the front facades, no wonder it was or still a controversial building. Look like a giant futuristic floating plane or some sort. In contrast with its exteriors, the interior is well connected to the old building and feel intrusive.

10.01.2022 Cube houses, Rotterdam by Dutch architect, Piet Blom. These tree houses are modulars and forms out of same size cubes. It creates its own urban context, make you feel like lost in the jungle. Staircase and Entries are a bit tight to today standards. Interior is compact and well design to utilise all the corners spaces.

02.01.2022 The most fascinating buildings in central London is the machine like building. The current Lloyd's building (address 1 Lime Street) was designed by the architect company Richard Rogers and Partners (now Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners) and built between 1978 and 1986. Bovis was the management contractor.[5] Like the Pompidou Centre in Paris (designed by Renzo Piano and Rogers), the building was innovative in having its services such as staircases, lifts, ductwork, electrical power conduits and water pipes on the outside, leaving an uncluttered space inside. The 12 glass lifts were the first of their kind in the United Kingdom. Like the Pompidou Centre, the building was highly influenced by the work of Archigram in the 1950s and 1960s.
