21.01.2022 Wow! Our good friend, Phong Ho from Barry Plant Gladstone Park shares with us how his focus on the positives has kept him thriving! Working during the Covid period has been very challenging for us agents due to tough restrictions on private inspections and physical auctions, confidence from sellers have decreased significantly resulting in minimal listings across the board and our workload being cut in half or more. It was hard to stay positive in this current climate but I ...wanted to focus on the positives one of the positives was that there were still a high number of finance ready and astute buyers active in the market. I knew they wanted to buy property so I had to shift most of my attention to servicing these buyers and so, to show presence in the marketplace and that I was still working hard through the Covid period, I contacted a couple of builders and developers to see if they needed assistance with selling off their stock and house & land packages. Between June and Sept, I have now sold in total 22 properties consisting of 13 house & land packages, 2 display homes, 2 vacant blocks and 5 residential homes. In addition to this, I have received more packages to help sell and have collected many reviews from happy sellers & buyers to show that I can still service my clients and help prospective clients gain back some confidence knowing that people are still transacting and that I am still achieving great results during these challenging times Congratulations Phong! #LinkLearnMade

17.01.2022 Caught in a fairly rare situation, our good friend, Brendan Flynn, Office Manager of Barry Plant Kilmore has had his office and his competitor’s offices open because they are in Regional Victoria. However Brendan lives in Melbourne so he has been locked down the last 8 weeks. Having said that his team have shown outstanding teamwork, helping Brendan drive success into the office. Not only have they done a complete turnaround with the situation of their leader, but they have set the highest record since start of last year, with 43 sales in August alone. Which one was the hardest hitting Covid month of Victoria. The COVID 19 lockdown presented a challenge at first... There was no doubt about that. We had to adapt quickly to the changing times. During the lockdown we emerged quite quickly to the use of modern day technology through the use of Zoom and other technologies. Conducting virtual appraisals & inspections with ...the cooperation of vendors and buyers. We operate in a corridor where land is readily available, so with the Government announcement of the $25,000 grant, it boosted our sales. And we were able to help many first home buyers secure an allotment for them to build and reap the rewards. In saying all this though, myself and my team have learnt a lot and we are ready to take on any challenges that come our way. We hope everyone & families are all well!! Property Partners have been excited to have the time to nurture our business relationships and passionately support our local businesses online. We’ve sent out a number of care packages, topped with outstanding Yarra Valley Produce to put a smile on the faces of the people we are working with. We’ve moved in on t...he decision to identify Melbourne Hot Spots, due to people wanting to move out toward the Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges. Most significantly, is the social change in ‘how’ and ‘where’ we work. The impact of working from home has changed people’s thinking - knowing they can successfully work remotely with additional time. The preparation we go through to ready ourselves for our working day and ‘travel time’ yo work has been removed and we‘re in a much better mind set, regaining more productive hours in our day. What better place to work and live than the Yarra Valley & Dandenong Ranges!!! We’ve seen a huge shift in our community. Neighbors who may have rarely spoken before reaching out to one another. Be it a letter in the mailbox to let them know you here for them, or letting each other know they have eggs vegetables to share if necessary. No more are we hopping into our cars and exiting our driveways without the thought of our immediate neighbours. This has been a wonderful community shift. We are definitively a stronger!!! Property Partners are having so much fun! Working with clients, readying their properties for sale and doing virtual tours. It’s a wonderful experience to support and teach people how to maximize using technology. We have been using FaceTime and Zoom. With many sellers excited by how user-friendly these social mediums are & how proud they are to navigate them. 06.01.2022 With over 35 active projects across Victoria, Covid-19 affected all regions for RPM Real Estate. Our good friend and Building Manager, Sam Martinez shares insight that the year began with a positive outlook finally the market was on the up. However, come Covid, the restrictions & uncertainty in job security, the market sentiment rapidly declined and many plans of purchasing house & land were put on hold til further notice... Closer to June, buyer sentiment was again creeping ...up. Enquiries improved week on week and transactions continued in accordance with social distancing. And the Government’s $25K Home Builder Boost Scheme created a massive uplift in buyer activity & change in the traditional buyer. Investors dropped off & owner occupiers increased. Client’s intended budgets also grew meaning the Scheme was encouraging owner occupiers to stretch that little bit more. The team at RPM have had to adapt. Our sales teams have become well verse in educating & servicing clients to secure the right block of land in all our estates via online appointments, virtual tours and other interactive features where the client can be in the comfort of their own home. Further to this, the team at RPM have been also been looking at ways to strengthen relationships with our valued builder partners so that we can continue to work collaboratively even during these interesting times. The biggest achievement in spite of Covid is seeing the amount of clients we have successfully assisted in providing their desired block of land, even when we’re not in the same room as them. This goes to show not only is our team able to adapt to a new way of selling, but that our end clients are still being looked after and serviced the way they should be and are comfortable to go on a journey with us even if we are apart. With these steady yet positivity results Sam hopes that a pent up demand should result in strong transactions once restrictions ease. Outstanding pivoting from Sam & RPM!!

02.01.2022 Wow! Our good friend, Paul Sheehan from LJ Hooker - Coolangatta Tweed shares his resilience despite the pandemic. I will never forget when Covid-19 hit. I had 4 offers on properties that had been accepted on Saturday the 22nd of March. Then, on Sunday night the 23rd of March, my twin brother Scomo, (apparently I look like him )jumped on the news and said we could possibly be in lock down until Christmas. Within minutes of that news breaking my 4 buyers texted saying they ...would no longer proceed with the sales due to the uncertainty of their livelihood. We were then not allowed to do open homes for 49, very long days, and we simply had to ride it out. During that time I did virtual tours on all my listings and advertised that I would be more than happy to do live FaceTimes & What’sApp viewings. I didn’t sell anything for 60, very long days, once the restrictions were lifted the buyers came out and I started selling properties quickly and for record prices. Some buyers were even from Melbourne, buying site unseen, however the virtual tours and Iive viewings really helped. As a resident and specialist in the Banora Point/Tweed area, Paul worked every situation to his advantage. Even discovering that REA were holding a special where he could re-list with them and pay for the new listing on sale of the property. He did this with two properties... and sold them at their first open home in the relaunch! What an agent Paul! Never let down, never give up!
