21.01.2022 Hi everyone, firstly thanks for the support of our massive sale last weekend. We have been busy getting bikes built, fitted up and out the door since. Today we are featuring two of our latest builds, we have Hanna on her fully custom built Kuota Kult and we also have Jeff on his new Fondriest TF4. I hope that they bring you many years of great cycling experiences. Please note that the store wont be open this weekend as I am taking a short break and heading to NZ for a few da...ys. 21.01.2022 Oh my god, I haven't done a post on this site for 6 months. The shop just ticked along on the weekends over the winter months as I had some contract work elsewhere, now that is done. I have also moved into a new house in Capalaba, so those who follow this site were aware that I was heading to Melbourne - but no more - I am staying put in SE Qld.... There is the older models clearing at crazy cheap prices in stock with new stocks of Orca Triathlon Clothing and just in Some new models from Fondriest. I am still only open on a Saturday morning from 8am til 1pm, but as always am available during the week by appointment.

20.01.2022 So I have been stocking and selling the Orca Tri Suits (since 2005), and way back when I owned Swim Bike Run in Melbourne we also did Zoot. The distributors of Zoot here in Australia recently approached me to see if I wanted to do some clearance stock, so why not. I now have all sizes in mens tri suits and XS and Small options in Ladies, all selling for $80.00 each.... The stock is at home in Capalaba for the ease of pick up and try ons.

20.01.2022 Hi all, things are starting to slow down a little as the weather gets a bit cooler. That said the bikes are still rolling out eh door and the Tri gear is still selling really well. Big unit Jeremy picked up his XXL BH Quartz last weekend, his wife Ginnie also collected her slightly late Mothers Day Onix, but we missed her for a photo.

16.01.2022 It is just 6 days until the start of the massive sale. The doors open at 9.00am on Saturday 4th of November Amongst the other items we have are more than 100 Orbea road bikes, Each bike will be finished to order and we start from $600.00, and this will still include the full Lifetime warranty on the frameset.... We have a full rack of Ladies Specific bikes. We have four full racks of men's and unisex options in alloy frames and more than 30 bikes in most sizes in two grades of carbon frames. Component options start at Claris and go right through to Di2 Ultegra. Please note that there will be no Merchant facilities on the day, we will be accepting Layby deposits to allow time to get each bike fully built and prepped.

15.01.2022 As anybody who has been following my posts here knows we are slowly winding things at the shop. SO to that end we haven't been getting many new bikes in to stock recently. But this is one of the latest Shiny things that has arrived on the doorstep recently Orbea M20 in Matt black, Ultegra 8000, and Vision Team aero wheels. The 53cm one I have here weighs in at 7.90kg out of the box, and retails at $3599.00.... Now that said I still have the older model Orcas in a range of sizes and colours in stock. Given that they have the last of the 10 speed Ultegra, Mavic wheels and tyres and actually weigh in at 200 grams less (total weight of a 53cm is 7.7kg) and they are have the price at $1800.00 you could get 2 of these at the same price as the new model. You can have either the old or the new depending on your tastes and budget.

14.01.2022 The new home for Links Cycles will be ready to go by the end of this week, after nearly 30 years of paying rent on stores, enough is enough. Setting up the workshop, fit studio and some stock at home. The bulk bikes, will be in a storage facility just up the road.... First we have had to dig up my beloved grass, then put a base of gravel down and when that's done. Get FBC (Freak'n Big Crane) to left the building clean over the house and onto its new space. You cant see it in the photo but there is a big ass Air Cond on the far end of the bulding, no more cooking in a tin shed in summer.

12.01.2022 Just a quick heads up, I will be closed this coming long weekend. I am making the best the public holiday on Monday and heading down to Melbourne to see my girls (oh and the dog) On the stock front I have just got some of Orcas RS-1 Elite Tri suits in. These are not for the fainthearted. They feature no inbuilt support for the ladies, super light chamois and no pockets. It is all about the speed in this model, Check out the Orca website for more info on the RS-1. They retail... are around the $270.00 mark, but I am selling them for $90.00, I have them in all sizes for male and female. Have a great Labour Day weekend in Queensland on Monday. Cam

12.01.2022 We are still going strong at Links. I have been located in Capalaba for more than 2 years now. Not really buying any new stock going forward, just in full on clearance mode. That said I still have new Orbeas in boxes as well as having just finished building up all the large size Fondriests that I built a while back. Tom and Guilia picked up their new bikes today after making yet another trip up from Byron Bay. They are competing in the Byron Bay Triathlon in a couple of weeke...nds time. Good luck guys. Older models, but hey a full custom 105 carbon Orbea, with a fit up for just over a thousand dollars, What the?? Toms came out to just over $2K with the $2500.00 retail, deep dish carbon wheelset.

11.01.2022 Its another perfect day in South East Queensland. I am on deck today, all next week and the weekend. Next weekend I will have my helper Evie for the Saturday morning. First up on Monday Grant lobs up looking for a new bike. Easy fixed says I. So a little time later, Off he goes with a BH Ultralite running SRAM Red, lightweight carbon clincher wheels, and weighing in at less than 6.5kg.

11.01.2022 Hi everybody, we are here on deck this weekend. This is your last chance to get in and get any gear or problems sorted before the Easter break. I am headed to Melbourne on Weds for the Nationals, so won't be around to see the easter bunny do his (or her) rounds... Below I have a 54cm Cervelo R3 in Ultegra 10 speed for sale. The bike is in immaculate condition, with the fulcrum wheels being new (they were taken off on purchase and stored) The paint finish, and the frame is faultless. It is priced to sell at, $1400.00 a real bargain way to get onto a great quality bike.

10.01.2022 Hi Everybody, well 3 days to go and I am off for the Christmas break. Only have to get a couple of more new bikes out the door and I am done for 2017. As a rule I don't deal in or even touch secondhand bikes, but in this ones case I have made an exception, as I know its history and its owner well. Cervelo P3, 54cm 10 speed Dura Ace, 404 Zipp clinchers, hydration system, pedals, all as per the photos for $1500.00... It is in exception condition, both cosmetically and mechanically. Normally I am around all week but I work by appt, to maximise my use of time. That said I had to come to Melbourne for a family crisis. I am here until Friday afternoon, and will be back for the weekend sale. I will be around all of next week and will be extending the sale til the following Friday. But am hoping to get most people through on the weekend and then spend the week getting whatever bikes have sold built and prepped. Sale or not we are still building each bike to order.

This week I have got another bulk buy in from our friends at Orca, some 2017 racesuits in 226 (a bargain at $90.00)and some Core (priced sharp at $60.00) On top of that I have some RS1 Killa Suits, these are for the non nonsense competitor who really wants to go fast. no pockets, a light chamois, flat stitching, leg gripper panel and a super slippery coated surface. Perfect for non wetsuit swims. ... These Tri suits retail at $299.00 I am doing them for $90.00 Google the reviews on these suits- they literally leave everyone else in the dust. 08.01.2022 Morning all, what a wet week we have all had. I am off to Melbourne for a few days tomorrow. As a result the shop will be closed this Saturday morning. I will be back on deck on Thursday. Meanwhile last week I have the usual services and repairs through, but the highlight was two more custom bikes getting picked up. Sharon got her Kuota KOM and Pat picked up his BH Prisma Di2 Equipped bike with hot new wheels. Stay safe on the roads and see you all soon, Cam

07.01.2022 Another weekend and another bike finds a new home, this time it was local new rider Penny, who walked away with a BH Quartz packing 105. The new shop is nearly done, just one corner full of tri gear in boxes to get sorted. We are open for servicing, repairs, and fitups weekdays after 12 and weekends by arrangement. 06.01.2022 Hi guys, we are here and ready to work tomorrow from 9am til 1pm, I will also be here on the following Saturday for all your pre Easter requirements. Young Jayden was lucky enough to pick up his new Fondriest TF2 Aero equipped with Ultegra Di2 last week. Apparently on his first race with the bike he clinched his age group for a series win in the Queensland Tri Series, well done mate.

05.01.2022 Hi everyone, I haven't posted here for a long time, but we are still clearing out old models on a regular basis. I had an Ordu and a, Orca go to new homes last week. I still have around 80 road bikes left to clear. Given that I have the Trigger Imports business running really well and have work in the mornings every Monday to Friday. I have just been opening by appointment for the last 12 months.... In February on each Saturday morning I am planning a Garage style clearance of clothing, and accessories, shoes, helmets etc. The plan is to get stock down low enough to move to a new small storage location, and at the same time we will be setting up and opening a new service, set up and sales facility from the house in Capalaba. I will reveal all in the next post, stay safe out there.Cam

04.01.2022 SOoo, we started with the new shop sitting on the driveway last week. In came lots of machinery to dig up my beloved grass and to put a bed of gravel and the foundation blocks for the container to sit on. On Thursday (during which it rained constantly) the guys turned up with a Big Ass crane to lift it up and over the house.... All went well, but with a few hitches but now the new workshop is where it needs to be. I have handed back the keys to our old site in Industry Place and we are slowly fitting out and organising the new space. Keep you all posted on the progress.

03.01.2022 Happy New Year to everyone. I have been back on deck in Brisbane for the week now, packing and sending orders, Getting caught up with the servicing/ and general sales. So we are here this week on Saturday and back to normal for a couple of weeks.... This weeks special is an Orbea Orca with 105 11 speed build kit, and Vision Team 25 wheelset. The bike pictured is a 53cm but I can do from 48 to 55cm in other colours as required. A bargain at $1600.00.

02.01.2022 Ok so the new bikes keep heading out the door, the sun is still shining and we even had over 6 inches of rain this week, just to add some green to the city. I will be here and on the tools this weekend coming and also the next. There are still tonnes of bikes here and bargains galore to be had.
