25.01.2022 What a difference a week makes! Nathan and the Golf Spectrum team are 1 week in to the build of our new driving range and 9th hole. Major progress was made this week. ... - the new green is close to finish height and the front bunkers have been roughed in. - old 9th green has had the top layer taken off and sand will be stripped ready to start building the driving range tee. - left target green on old driving range has been excavated and sill be sunk below water level. Big thanks to Nathan and his team at @golf_spectrum_pty_ltd who have been pushing hard and cut in the green, bunkers and are now prepping cart paths and the highly anticipated driving range tee. We are seeing Mike Wolveridge's last design starting to come to life. As he would say, "a naughty little par 3". ... 140m from the Blue Tees, and 2 generous bunkers lie before the green. But don't go long, curvacious swales and a pot bunker to the rear of the green will await you. 20.01.2022 Good morning We are closely monitoring new QLD Health restrictions announced this morning and advise the following: Maintain 1.5m distance from others, regularly wash or sanitise your hands and be vigilant with supplying correct details for contact tracing. ... The Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast have managed to avoid the strict three day lockdown Brisbane locals will be subject to. Whilst, people who visited Brisbane from the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast since the 2nd (of January) are required to stay in their homes for the three days. However, Greater Brisbane will enter a three day lockdown in a bid to contain a potentially crippling outbreak of a mutant strain of COVID-19. Residents in Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan, Moreton Bay and Redlands council areas will only be able to leave their home for four reasons from 6pm on Friday until 6pm on Monday, and will have to wear a mask when they are outside their residence. The government has issued the following advice regarding movement in and out of Greater Brisbane: - Stay at home and in your neighbourhood - People can choose to enter Brisbane during this period but are bound by the same restrictions for this period. 03.01.2022 Morning all Some of you may be aware that the Greater Brisbane Area (Brisbane, Ipswich, Moreton Bay, Logan and Redlands) will go in to a 3 day lockdown from 5pm this afternoon. Residents of these areas will only be able to leave their house for the following reasons:... 1 To buy essentials like groceries or medication. 2 Work only if you are an essential worker. 3. Exercise locally. 4. Healthcare or to provide help, care or support. Residents of these areas must also wear masks everywhere except home. Anyone who has been to Greater Brisbane since March 20 needs to follow the lockdown restrictions. Some restrictions have been put in place for all of Queensland during this 3 day period. They include: 30 pax maximum at a private gathering. Mask wearing is required whilst outside of home or if you are in a confined space where social distancing is not possible. Seated eating and drinking only. It is a great time to be reminded that social distancing and personal hygiene are the best ways to protect ourselves If there are any further changes, we will provide appropriate updates.
