25.01.2022 A budget friendly Mid Century Modern furniture and accessories selection by Linlin Interiors. #midcenturymodern #midcenturymodernhome #midcenturymodernfurniture ... #midcenturyfurniture #midcenturymodernlivingroom #livingroomdecor See more

25.01.2022 Dressing up a Christmas tree is a big deal, but don't forget to spread the love, such as putting baubles in plant pots or getting a couple of domes to decorate any flat surface. Still not too late, have fun and 10 more sleeps .

25.01.2022 People often ask me about my style. I always say modern and colourful, but it's not about me. It's about what my clients want.

24.01.2022 Hello from Ho Chi Minh city. 2018 was a good year for me. I built my own website and turned my lifelong passion (since I was 8 years old) into a design business. Even though I had setbacks and challenges in both my personal and professional lives, but I wouldn't want it any other way, because that's how we grow. In 2019, I will continue to learn, to challenge myself and to build strong relationships with my clients. If you have a dream, don't give up, chase it. Life is short and you don't want to regret when it is too late. Have a great year.

24.01.2022 Another exciting project - the timeless art deco. As Linin Interiors takes on more clients, our business keeps evolving according to clients' needs. All items are locally sourced except the wall paper.

24.01.2022 Normally when you go to interior designers or cabinet makers, they will give you the first picture. When you come to Linlin Interiors, I will give you the second picture - realistic 3D rendering. You can see textures and finishes clearly. It will help you visualize what you are getting.

24.01.2022 When I am out and about, I always find myself wondering in decor or furniture stores. Just can't help it. And I found a gem yesterday - a carved handshaped stool. What a showstopper piece! I am in love with it. Shop name will be reviewed upon request

23.01.2022 Hey if you love art and are looking for a weekend away in Adelaide, check this out. 46 art rooms for you to choose. It's a bit like spending a night in an art gallery, but you might be able to touch these amazing artworks, plus take as many photos as you please. This makes me wonder, zoos can open doors for people to sleep inside, so as classical concerts, why not art galleries. Wouldn't it be nice just staring at your favourite paintings for hours till you fall asleep . Please note I am independent, no commission received from this post. Just want to share the love

23.01.2022 Succulent container gardens make a great statement piece not only outdoors but in well-lit indoor areas. 'Which succulents should I choose?' Well, the easiest way is to buy a pack of four succulents from Bunnings which garden designers have already worked out the combinations for you. Then you just need to get a pretty pot. Simple.

23.01.2022 Beach style homes are always so popular. The tranquil quality makes it more compelling than any other interior styles. How to create a beach style home? Well the first step is to choose a colour palette. I wrote a blog post of the best 3 nature inspired beach style colour palettes. If you are interested, please check it out. https://www.linlininteriors.com/three-best-beach-style-col/

22.01.2022 Do you have necklaces you don't wear any more but unable to part with them? Why not hang them up and decorate you wall. I have two on my walls. I like the dangling feel about them, adding movements to the flat walls.

22.01.2022 Couple of my recent clients happen to live in two storey homes with no pendant lights, only non-dimmable downlights. For living areas, it is easy to get table lamps and/or floor lamps to add another layer of lighting. What about kitchen? I found these smart LED strip lights can be operated on smart phones and they are easy to install under overhead cabinets. So next time when you have a romantic dinner at home or have friends over, you can create a party mode by changing different colours of your strip lights. Here is an example from Ebay https://www.ebay.com.au//5M-Smart-Wifi-RGB-W/324220706673

21.01.2022 Artworks in kitchens? Why not. It will add visual interest, brighten up your space , increase your appetite and blend well with the rest of your open living space. Get a cheap art print online and move it away from hot plates when you cook

21.01.2022 Happy Easter . Have to put this up again with pictures of course. Hope you have a happy and relaxing time off with your loved ones. Easter means more time for me to look after my garden, and spend more time soaking in the sun with these babies

17.01.2022 Making the ordinary extraordinary! Who would thought gardening can be so glamours and sexy. These garden hoses look more like designer handbags rather than boring tubes. The leopard-patterned nozzle set is heavenly beautiful. The blossom garden tool set is just one of kind for sure. Glad to see some creative designers turned everyday gardening tools into some sort of fashion accessories. Can't wait to get your hands dirty?... Garden tool set from Temple & Webster.com.au. Garden hoses and nozzle from Sundaysociety.com.au Linlin Interior has signed up with Temple & Webster and will share exclusive discounts with our clients.

17.01.2022 You probably won't believe that I used to hate green. I used to think green is dull. Since I studied interior design and started working in the industry, I learned there is no bad colours, only bad colour combinations. Now I look at green with much appreciation. After all it is a beautiful and elegent colour.

17.01.2022 Hey beautiful people, check out these two lamps from Adairs, so colourful and fresh. They will be great in a beach style or modern style home. Half price at the moment, don't miss out.

17.01.2022 I have been sick for six days. Seems like forever. Doctors told me to rest, but I am so bored, then something caught my eye - the flower hoop made by #natalie_broham_artistry. So I walked around the house with it and finally found a spot - on top of Kmart mirror at the entrance. Perfect. I love it. Now I can go back to bed and rest for more .

17.01.2022 I want to share you a project I recently completed. The living room was designed without much thoughts of furniture arrangement, so we were facing the dilemma of putting a TV in the corner or in front of the two windows. Both are not great design ideas, but if we have to choose one, placing the TV in front of windows is a winner. Why? Because the two windows open to a carport not a view, and my clients keep the plantation shutters down at all times. ... Diagonal line is a naughty line, not pleasing to the eye, even with the balance of an angled armchair. Another advantage of placing the TV against the windows is my clients can easily upgrade to a larger TV down and track. If you have the same dilemma, just Google these two ways. You will find very few photos of corner TV ideas.

16.01.2022 If I started over, this would be my living room. Modern Art Deco with a twist of glam. Blue, pink, gold and black. All my favorite colors. Glass, fur and metal. All my favorite textures. Just missing some plants, books and sculptures

15.01.2022 I love choosing furniture and accessories for my clients. 15.01.2022 Looking for a special Christmas tree, then this might be for you. Driftwood scandi Christmas tree. Apparently they are selling fast. https://www.target.com.au/p/christmas-5ft-wooden-s/63839593

15.01.2022 What if you have a strip of bare wall in the house? You could either ignore it or turn it into an eye-catching gallery wall. Tips of creating a gallery wall: - select artworks with colours compliment each other and fit the colour palette of the room/house. ... - cut up some papers to the size of the frames, then tape them on the wall to work out the arrangements. - think outside of the box. You don't have to buy art from galleries. It could be DIY art, thrifted, or in this case you could hang a necklace. If you need help with your gallery wall, let me know.

15.01.2022 Sneak peek of our next post - a living room makeover. My client wants a space she can relax, read and recharge, so I created this sanctuary for her. We have a rough idea of the colour palette, til we found this birch tree print we both fell in love with. I went over for the photo shoot yesterday and felt reluctant to leave. This is the thing. You wouldn't cut your hair nor pull your own teeth. Why would you trust yourself designing and decorating your own house. Your mistake could cost thousands of dollars and you have to live with it. Leave to the experts and you will live your desired lifestyle for years to come.

15.01.2022 I really enjoy working with entrepreneurs. Their passion and ambition are truly inspiring. Office designed by Linlin Interiors

15.01.2022 Happy mother's day. Hope you will be spoilt

14.01.2022 At a glance, it's hilarious, but sadly it's true. You pay a discounted price, the quality of work is discounted too. Sometimes, we don't want to do a bad job, so we have to say no.

13.01.2022 When a client tells you she loves colours. That's my 'me too' moment. I love the Moroccan tile idea as the back of a kitchen island. The colour palette is carried through out the house, but each room has a different feel. Then adding black velvet to make the bedroom looks sexy. Let's see what she thinks.

13.01.2022 This lamp took my breath away. Gorgeous gold peacock base with white shade. From Bunnings. If you have a traditional home, this would be perfect. https://www.bunnings.com.au/cafe-lighting-peacock-gold-tabl

13.01.2022 I did my own kitchen backsplash, directly tiled on top of existing glass backsplash. I picked the lilac colour from a large artwork I have in the dining area and used mocha grout. These tiles are all handmade. Each has slightly different colour which creates movements. The picture is a bit deceiving. These tiles look much better in real life. You can create a feature in your kitchen with your backsplash with colours and patterns.

13.01.2022 A close-up shot of the bookcase.

11.01.2022 https://www.linlininteriors.com/blog/ Hi all, I started writing a blog now. I have been thinking about it for a while, because English is not my first language, I do feel struggling sometimes. Then I did a research and apparently other non-English speakers are doing it. From their experiences, their English skills have improved a lot over the time. Then I had a conversation with myself that I shouldn’t let my fear holding me back, I should put my feelings aside just write, help and inspire people. So here we go, my very first bog story about my linen closet makeover. Please do check it out. And I hope it is helpful to you. Take care. Lin

10.01.2022 Hope you are all doing well and entertaining yourself while staying home. I just published a blog post about how to style a bookcase, if you are looking for a challenge or just something to do to pass time. The full article is below: https://www.linlininteriors.com/how-to-style-a-bookshelf/... Here are some tips: > Arrange books both vertically and horizontally to create a flow > Mix larger and smaller items. > Colour code your books and keep your colour palette consistent. > Personalise your bookshelf with photos > Add statement pieces such as plants and sculptures > Introduce artworks > Bring more textures > Paint or wallpaper backing board > Place decorative items on top > If your bookshelf is too deep, bring books and decorations forward. Remember that saying 'a house without books is like a body without a soul'. Styling your bookcase is like giving your books a nice home, so they can relax and use the calming energy to nurture you back. Happy reading!

We are all insecure and we are no different. Love you

04.01.2022 If you have ever visited Vietnam, you would noticed how much local people love their plants. Apart from motorbikes and people, potted plants are everywhere. I am so inspired by that and redecorated my porch today. There are some similarities between garden design and interior design, such as repitition, layering, contrast, mixing high and low. And for potted plants, succulents are your best friends, as they are not only decorative, but also low maintenance. Have fun and experiment

03.01.2022 I know I have been quiet lately, because my 8 year old laptop decided to quit after been installed two design programs. Had two IT gurus checked, they couldn't save her. Feeling a bit sad but have to buy a new one tomorrow

02.01.2022 Check out this from my favorite designer Emily Herderson

02.01.2022 I got rid of my TV Technically, I still own a TV. It sits in a wardrobe behind two stools and a couple of outdoor cushions. I used to turn the TV on while cooking or doing chores. And the next thing I knew, I had been watching it mindlessly for a few hours. That's a lot of time wasted. Instead, I could take my dog for a walk, attend my garden or go to gym. ... Then I read a book called the Atomic Habits. It says if you want to change a bad habit, make it unattractive. That's exactly what I did to my TV. Luckily my gallery wall still works. Life is beautiful, but short with many distractions too. We have to make conscious decisions of what's important to us. Have a good weekend

01.01.2022 What do you think of this Hampton bedroom? Working from home? Days getting repetitive and boring? Maybe it is a time to take a good look of your home. Is that the style you really want? Is your house missing your own personality? Are you still holding up on the stuff you don't even like? It's the perfect time to reflect your living environment and make plans.

01.01.2022 At the time of writing, I can smell the bushfire from my house. The ongoing bushfires have destroyed many homes across the country. And realising it's so close to home is distressing. This got me thinking what I can do to help easing global warming. I have started consuming less meat products. I have asked all my close friends don't buy me anything for Christmas or any occasions. As much as I love decorating, I only bought one Christmas ornament this year. Being a designer, I want my clients to have beautiful and relaxing homes and make them happy. And happy people make a happy planet right. Maybe I just keep doing what I am doing but more conscious about the environment and live more moderately. What your thoughts are on what we can do to help?
