23.01.2022 The third part of making silage is baling the grass. It is quite wet and green with silage, unlike when we bale hay. This makes the bales extremely heavy. It also means that we need to start the baler off slowly otherwise it will clog.

22.01.2022 SOLD! Bottle-fed Lamb for sale. He's approximately 5 weeks old and going well on the bottle. He's just been wethered, vaccinated and EID tagged. He's a very friendly little guy and loves company, but not fussy which species he's friends with. Currently our kelpie-border collie X babysits him most of the time. He does have one floppy ear due to a birth injury, but it doesn't affect him at all. It just adds to his cuteness.... He needs to be fed every 3-4 hours during the day, have a secure shelter to sleep in (or sleep with the dog), and go to someone who wants a long-term lawn mower. Price - $150

19.01.2022 During the hot weather, we had an unusual visitor to the bird bath, who very cleverly, climbed up the rabbit-proof netting to get to the water! How clever is that?!

07.01.2022 Introducing the first lambs of our second drop of lambs for the year - twins! Please excuse the poor quality video; at this age it is very hard to get close to the lambs as the mums are very protective!
