25.01.2022 These great little pieces of redgum would look fantastic in a Fairy Garden or just around a few succulents. Let the kids have fun in the garden. ( mug is for size comparison only ) Available for $2 each at the Op Shop. Larger sizes available. Changes all the time as some are sold and new ones arrive.

25.01.2022 FREE Kids Books These are confusing and scary times because of Covid 19 but reading can help pass time & keep the kids amused for a little while. I have had the books, games & puzzles out front on my verandah for one day - I didn't see or hear anyone there so I will leave them there until Friday April 3.Once they're gone that will be it. 25.01.2022 FREE BOOKS I have brought some books for adults home. They are now on the verandah with the kids books, although I've put them on the table so we don't have to bend so far. Most of them are fiction and there are even some very old Westerns - I remember my dad reading them when I was a child. There will be more put out tomorrow; I need to get some more boxes and books from the op shop. 47 NORSEMENS ROAD... 23.01.2022 FREE BOOKS Cookery Books have just been put out front (Tue 26th) As we hopefully wind down from isolation it will be easier to shop and get the correct ingredients for the recipes in these books. Why not come and browse through them before selecting one or just grab ones that have nice covers. Fiction books are still there so come along and take as many as you want. 21.01.2022 CHRISTMAS CAKES & PUDDINGS Most of the cakes & puddings have been sold. All of the small cakes have gone and there are only a few of the large cakes and puddings left. THANKS must go to the Bendigo Bank Grantville for selling them all this month. San Remo Bendigo Bank and Bass Valley Community Group also took some to sell. If you still want a cake or pudding get in as soon as you can. As of this morning our Op Shop (at Grantville Garden Supplies ) only had 2 each of large cak...es and puddings and I believe the other outlets were much the same. 18.01.2022 ANZAC Day Pins Feeling rather disappointed; On Saturday - ANZAC DAY I left ANZAC badges out front in case anyone still wanted to buy one. Took them in at end of day only to find 4 items gone and only $2 in tin. Don't know if someone thought they were free like the books or if they paid and someone else came along and managed to open the tin, remove money and reseal the tin or some young children who didn't understand thought they could have them or if someone thought that because it was ANZAC day they were now free. It has just taught me not to be so trusting. Will know better in future - don't leave anything involving money unattended. Lions Club will make up the payment.

18.01.2022 CHRISTMAS IDEAS Two things on offer at the Op Shop. Swing set obviously used & missing a swing but frame is in great condition. I’m told the replacement swings are available at Bunnings. Our Swing is $5 as is so if you’re setting up a kids area this is a very cheap way out. Extra for delivery. Cradle is sweet as, metal cradle with hand made mattress, pillow & doona. 50cm long by 40cm wide includes the width of rockers. A little girls dream.

17.01.2022 FREE BOOKS Wednesday 20th May....... Have just added another 2 boxes of fiction books to those that are already on my verandah. Will return some of the original ones to the op shop next time I go that way. Hopefully getting closer to an end of staying home for everyone. In the meantime come along and check out the new books and get some while you can. Sorry but there's no extra kids books. If you haven't already been the address is 47 Norsemens Rd. Coronet Bay. 15.01.2022 Christmas is fast approaching. Last chance to get Lions cakes or puddings at the Op Shop will be Monday 23rd - probably closing at lunchtime so come in early. remember they will last all year if like me you like to have a piece of cake on the odd occasion (that means as often as I can) Monday will also see remaining Christmas stock (cards & decorations etc.) going out a lot cheaper. 12.01.2022 GREATEST MORNING TEA For Cancer Council Do you usually have a morning tea for the Cancer Council and are not too sure how to arrange it during the Covid 19 lock down? Why not get your neighbours that are also stuck at home to sit at the front gate at the same time of course and enjoy your favourite tea. If all your friends are spread over a larger distance why not purchase some tea cups and saucers from Bass Valley Lions Op Shop. Distribute the cups to your friends and at a d...efined date and time all have a cuppa in matching cups. Won't cost much and cups can be kept as a reminder of your friendship that bridged the "virus". Bass Valley Lions Op Shop has various cups and saucers to choose. The photo shows just 2. The yellow flower one has 6 each of cups, saucers, little plates and bowls (for sponge covered in heaps of cream) plus 1 serving plate. The other has 8 cups and saucers plus milk jug and sugar bowl. 09.01.2022 I know it's Summer and not the time to be buying heaters but there is still some cold weather around. We have some heaters that have been checked and tagged and are waiting to be sold. These are available for $2.00 each until Christmas, so why not come in and get one "just in case". At this price there is no need to be cold at all. Photo shows some of the heaters.

07.01.2022 LIONS OP SHOP IS OPEN I am trying to keep the Op Shop in Grantville open during this second stage 3 lock down. The Shop will be open Mondays 10 am until 3 pm Fridays from 10 am until 3 pm... Saturdays 9am until 11.30am STRICT CONDITIONS of ENTRY apply: 1 person (or family) at a time in shop BYO face mask Hands to be sanitised and gloves worn (both supplied by shop) Contact details to be recorded. **We have plenty of winter clothes right now, shoes galore, kitchenware and just about anything you could want for the home. If your getting ready for spring gardening we have cheap plants and some very interesting pieces of aged tree wood that would look great in the garden. 05.01.2022 VALENTINE'S DAY Sunday 14th February. You may have noticed some movement and changes happening around Grantville Garden Supplies. Big improvements taking shape. It's business as usual at the Garden Supplies and the BASS VALLEY LIONS CLUB OP SHOP. We have some wonderful little items that would be perfect as a gift for your Valentine. Traditionally Valentine cards and gifts were hand made but not many of us do that now, so next best thing - op shop. Open 10 'til 3 Weekdays and 9 'til 11.30 Saturday. So, come on in and grab a bargain and avoid the crowds at big shopping centres.. See you soon.

04.01.2022 FREE BOOKS & DVDs I have added more DVDs to my verandah. This may be the last weekend for the items on the verandah so get in and take as many books, Videos, CDs and DVDs as you want. 47 Norsemens Road, Coronet Bay. 02.01.2022 COVID 19 a lot of businesses are closing now. The Grantville Garden Supplies are as far as we know an Essential Business - Home Gas supplies and Firewood.. As Bass Valley Lions Op Shop is located inside the grounds of the Garden Supplies we are somewhat isolated. BUT we are not taking donations at the moment - after you've all cleaned out the garage, gone through your wardrobes and the kids toys they no longer play with, we may have worked out a safe and easy way to take don...ations. I'll let you know. DURING THIS TIME OF ISOLATION I thought that we may have some items for the home that you may need. *So if anyone in Bass Valley area NEEDS something please phone me and if we have something I will deliver it to you. * If anyone needs CLOTHES (especially as the weather gets cooler) phone me - we will make a time for you to go through the shop. This means one (1) customer at a time. If conditions change I'll let you know. Attached is a photo of some Easter items we have. They may be just what someone needs to cheer up. The items in the store at the moment have all been there before the Virus came along. All soft toys have been washed before going on the shelves. 01.01.2022 OLD & CHEAP - A TRUE OPPORTUNITY SHOP Have recently changed the Name of our Facebook Page so thought we should reintroduce ourselves Our Op Shop has been open over 20 years but not many people know where we are. With the Covid 19 lockdowns we've closed a few days but now we are back to five and a half days a week. Come along and check out out store; it's a bit cramped inside but that"s because we have so much stock. Look for our flag at Grantville Garden Supplies. We are he...re to help the community so our prices are as low as or lower than any other Op Shop. The shop may be old but not all of the stock is . 01.01.2022 KIDS BOOKS The Lions Op Shop has heaps of kids books - perfect for staying home with. I will bring some home Friday, put them on the front verandah Saturday morning and anyone can come past and get some if wanted. The books will be free - there are some activity books as well as reading books. There will also be some puzzles and board games. Not as many of course, so will ask for a donation - pay whatever you think they are worth (if you are able). Honesty Box will be there....
