06.01.2022 Since 1964 the Lions Youth of the Year Program has fostered and optimised the leadership and citizenship qualities of thousands of school leavers including many notable Australians. This year the Lions Club of Bendigo sponsored Harry Brakha, Amy Bachmann, Dominic Tune, Zoe Hilson and James Brown from Girton Grammar School. The Public Speaking Winner and Overall Winner was Dominic Tune who now proceeds to the Zone Final.... Congratulations to all the contestants who confidently kept the audience engaged in a variety of well presented topics. Thank you to our judges, Anne Brosnan, Colin Christie and Harrison Stewart who provided enormous encouragement to the contestants and provided their time freely ensuring the success of this years Bendigo Club Final.

02.01.2022 Finally, after the longest training EVER (9 months, due to COVID19), Lions Hearing Dog, Kya has graduated. Today Kya was presented with her graduation collar and medallion by President Gwen and the team associated with her training. Well done to everyone involved including our South Australian Lions Hearing Dog group who persevered with Zoom meetings and testing because of restrictions. Kya has done you all proud and her new mum simply loves her.
