25.01.2022 Relaxing day for some of our Lions Members at Virginia Nursery



25.01.2022 President Ian delivering a very much appreciated cheque from the Brighton Lions to The Adelaide Day Care Centre, who are finding that their services are being used more and more due to the casualisation of our South Australian workforce. People who were just surviving on a weekly basis are now losing their jobs and when they cant pay their rent or mortgage evicted from their homes and once on the street find it difficult to survive. The Adelaide Day Care Centre are a charity that the Brighton Lions are pleased to support both with donated goods and cash.

20.01.2022 At the Lions Club of Brighton meeting on Tuesday 4th of September,our special guests were Julian Burton and Professor John Greenwood. Both men thanked the club... for purchasing vital pieces of equipment to help research in the treatment of burns victims. The same equipment is also being used for research in the treatment of diabetes. Both guests were awarded Lion Foundation William R. Tresise Fellow Awards. A terrific night was had by all. See more

16.01.2022 Lions Youth of the Year: Brighton Lions held the annual Youth of the year competition at Sacred Heart College 24/02/19. The school participating were Sacred Heart College , Emmanuel College and Westminster College. The participants all showed excellent communication skills they were a privilege to hear.

14.01.2022 Here is Fergus the hearing dog being presented with his graduation collar. Our club was responsible for establishing him into his new home, caring for a gentleman with hearing difficulties. He is a most incredible talented dog, it has been a pleasure to work with him over the last several weeks with Fergus and his new owner ensuring he can perform all the duties he was trained to do.

13.01.2022 Lions Club Of Brighton has banded together with other Lions Clubs in our zone to collect donations for the Mayor of Kangaroo Island's Bushfire Appeal. It has been very heartening to see the kind response from our local community.

Local clubs will benefit by helping him to sell the renown Lions Christmas Cakes. Prices 1.5kg cake - $17 . 1kg cake - $13 . and .9kg puddings $13. Look out for him

06.01.2022 Lions Club Of Brighton in action again this time President Ian presenting a donation to Rikki Cooke from Treasure Boxes. She was thrilled and told us demand for goods will skyrocket over the coming weeks due to many people losing their jobs because of the Coronavirus outbreak.

04.01.2022 The Brighton Lions Club were pleased to give a donation to Foodbank, a well known charity doing wonderful work in our community. They are finding that after the bushfires, the need in those communities is ongoing with many more people requiring their help and this will continue for months and possibly years to come.
