23.01.2022 WooHoo - welcome to Kevin Wanless - our new Lion Member! Finally we managed to hold our very first Meeting, obviously not all Members could attend due to numbers limit and the main duty was to induct Kevin who has been patiently waiting for his big night. Masks and distancing adhered to (except for a quick photo shoot and then to consume the famous Lions sausages for tea). President Reg Grisotto conducted the Ceremony to induct Kevin who then proudly showed off his Membership Certificate with his Sponsor Lion Bill Hurenkamp.

19.01.2022 GREAT NEWS!! Ritchies IGA are Celebrating 150 years. To celebrate they are launching the all new Program on 14th., October! To join in is easy : The Community Benefit Program will transition to a new Ritchies Card App, available from the App store or Google Play, and will issue new physical cards (Ritchies Card) available free from any participating Ritchies Store. Shoppers will be required to download the App, or apply on line at www.ritchies.com.au/loyalty. Our Lions Club is asking, when you shop that you PLEASE support The Churchill Lions Club as your choice - it's that easy - the more we get, the more we can give back to the Community.

18.01.2022 Do you have any old reading glasses lying around you don't want? Well Lions would just LOVE to take them off your hands. Lions Recycle for Sight Australia is part of the Lions Clubs International Worldwide Eyeglass Recycling Program, headquartered in Queensland and operating throughout Australia and overseas, Lions receive requests from humanitarian organisations and over the 26 years that the Australian program has operated, it has delivered over 7 million pair of refurbished quality spectacles to men, women and children in need in Africa, Europe, Middle East, Indian Sub- continent, East Asia, and the Far East, China, the countries of the Pacific Rim and Southern Asia and Oceania. So if you have any - please drop us a message and we can either arrange pick up or give you a drop off point.

11.01.2022 It's sad to write this and advise that we have had to postpone our Family Fishing & Fun Day. Due to situations caused by COVID we have been unable to get the Permit in time to run the Fun day this month - HOWEVER - we have already picked another date - when the weather should be awesome - Sautrday 27th., February 2021. Please put that date in your diary and come along to have a Family Day of FUN!

The screaming, yelling mob were tearing up the main street of the city as they ran away from the local zoo. ... A policeman stopped one runner and asked: What’s happening? A Lion has escaped, he gasped. Which way did it go?asked the officer. Well, we’re not bloody chasing it!

06.01.2022 Wow - what a fantastic night in the history of the Churchill Lions Club : Awards were given out from LCI to our Members, (L - R) Lions Ross Norman 40 years, Ron Bell 30 years, David Cranwell 25 years and Bill Hurenkamp 15 years as Lions - well done guys.
