13.01.2022 We had a great turn out last night, with 25 members attending our first meeting in 3 months. There were a few awards presented, making it a fun and light hearted night. Peter Archer and Rob Dedman were both awarded for 10 years of service. Well done gentlemen! ... Ashlee-Rose received her 1 year pin. Congratulations Ashlee-Rose, we look forward to having you in our club for many more years. Kerry Travers thanked the club for her Volunteer of the Year nomination, which was very well deserved. A good night all round.

11.01.2022 The Lions Club of Rockingham are temporarily holding meetings every 3rd Wednesday of the month, with our next meeting being 15th July at 6:30pm for a 7pm start. Our venue has not changed, so you will still be able to join us at the Rockingham Bowling Club on Kent Street.

10.01.2022 On Saturday, our club inducted the Committee members for the coming year. Thank you to PDG Alan Hawkins and PDG Beverly Hawkins of Port Kennedy Lions Club, for inducting our members. President Hazel Masters was surprised with a Thank you gift from the club for her efforts as President last year and for accepting the nomination to continue in the role this year.

10.01.2022 Today the Bullcreek Lions Club held the Remembrance ceremony in perfect weather. There was a big crowd there of Club Members and families from both W1 & W2 Dis...tricts. Both District governors Mike & Dot were in attendance. This s the second seat that has been set up amongst the trees and native plants. Well done. 08.01.2022 Last night was the Vinnies CEO Sleepout, with Team Rockingham raising over $14,000! Well done to Owen Farmer CEO WAHA, Hayley Edwards - City of Rockingham Councillor, Deputy Mayor Deb Hamblin- City of Rockingham, Caroline Hume, Stephanie Fielding, Breht Townsing, Davina Reid, Street Chaplain Jamie, Gabi Ozegovic Holly Rose Rolfe, Simone Ireland and staff from Samy Medical Practice! It was the first sleepout of it's kind in Rockingham and the funds raised will help to contin...ue to run homelessness services, providing a hand up for those in need. There was a great turnout, with many supporters coming down to mingle, show their support and talk with some of those living on the streets. There was a very special presentation made to Owen Farmer in recognition of all of his hard work and dedication to working with people on the streets. Artist Daniel Smith Painter spent 20 hours on a fabulous portrait of Owen, which blew the crowd away when it was revealed. A massive thank you to the team at The Laughing kookaburra Cafe for providing free food and drinks to everyone last night. It's enough that you feed the homeless on a daily basis. To go to the effort you did last night was amazing!

04.01.2022 More generous donations from our wonderful community to be dropped off to Owen, Western Australian Homeless Advocate, to distribute to those in need. Thank you to everyone who has gotten behind this collection.

02.01.2022 The COUNTDOWN IS ON - We only have 2 days left to receive donations, promote the event and prepare ourselves for one night of sleeping rough. Event Details: L...eave car near Samys Medical Practice. 530pm Kookaburra Cafe BYO blankets, beanies, scarfs, cardboard boxes. We will stay here for the majority of the evening thanks to the team at Kookaburra. 600pm We will learn what its REALLY like from people with Lived Experience 800pm Special Presentation 10pm Head to Dr Samys for set down. BYO anything you can stay warm. This event will be filmed live- if anyone wishes to talk or make a speech you can Holly Rose Rolfe it would be great to hear from your team about Youth and the troubles the younger generation face! Im looking forward to seeing you all Thursday, friends, family and visitors welcome. We will be starting at 530pm but you can come down and join us whenever your ready. Thank you to Sharlene Mcleod Brosnan from the Kookaburra Cafe for ensuring we have warm coffee/tea & soup!!! A huge thank you to everyone who has jumped on board with this, I think this event could turn into an annual event Rockingham can be proud to participate in!

01.01.2022 Another car load of blankets, clothing, food, towels, scarves and gloves dropped off to Owen Farmer to hand out to the Rockingham Homeless Community. Once again, a huge thank you to the members of the public who have been generously donating all of these items!
